Funtastic strike again!!

Stuck my head in Poundland in Bedford town only to find our friends Funtastic offereing a colourful two-pack of KO curiosities!

Air Fighter Convertors!



This two-pack comes in alternating colour schemes, at first I thought they where the same mold, but no! Two different molds on the upper jet plane parts but the same robot parts on the undercarriage.


Not sure which characters these guys are knocked off from, if Transformers at all, but they remind me of Superion limbs, if you see what I mean?


The quality is fairly terrible this time as the figures dont stand up too well, with one of them using a tail fin for support!

All the joints are on balls, so part swapping would create you an all green or all yellow arms and legs situation!


They size up along side PCC Steelshot ok I guess, but are still on the skinny side!

These little fellas arrived in the post this morning...

Alpha Trons Interchangeable Robot Formula Car Robot Fighter! Phew!



Nice packaging for a KO but both have the same info printed on the card back!



First we have what appears to be a multicoloured Optimus Prime KO, maybe simplified Movie Legends class?
No real articulation as such, arms and legs go up n down, stands unsuported which is ok.
Not much in the way of paint apps, just a dash of silver on his face and chest, black on his cab roof and a bit of silver on his front grill!



Next up is an unknown Formula One racecar in multicolours again but this one has a fair bit of articulation!
Shoulders and elbows swivel up n down offering nice clearance, hips and knees both on ball joints, all in all making for some ok poses!
Small amount of paint apps here and there, black on his spoiler, silver on his face and a metallic-ish blue on his chest!




Only a couple of quid each via Ebay, just a bit of fun!

This was just handed to me by the postman, my last KO of the year...

S.W.A.T. Robot Police Car Changer!




Nice packaging with transformation printed on the card back.
He comes with 3 weapons, sword, blaster and dagger/blade which reminds me of Movie Deluxe Bumblebees hand weapon?



Out of the packaging, first appearances are pretty good with stylings and paint apps fairly good too. theres the odd smudge but nothing worth worrying about!
Vehicle mode is a Camaro-esque Police car again similar to Movie Bumblebee or perhaps Barricade and comes with a nice light bar?






Now robot mode leaves a lot more to be desired with basic transformation, limited articulation in the arms and barely any in the legs.




He has ball jointed hips which are a waste as his thighs are so big they limit movement, knees bend back into hollow legs (part of transformation) and no feet as such!
Head is on a basic swivel and hands are molded with one open hand (for dagger weapon) and one with a large 3mm/4mm hole for sword or blaster.

I still cant get over how awesome this guy actually is, and I dont want to either!
Hes very poseable, solid and has Classic wrote all over him! He also comes in Deluxe and Leader class too but scale wise in a Classics display, Voyager is just perfect for his alt mode/vehicle type.

Found this little set of add-ons via Ebay just the other day and as no one else bid I won them inclusive of shipping for £2.80 (around $4.00ish)!

Say hello to Power Core Combiner Heavytread Mine Plow Set by Process!


This awesome little add-on set created by Process using the Shapeways 3D printing service offers a cool mine plow/cow catcher, missle pod and a 3mm post/peg for adding 3mm clip on weapons!

Orginally on Shapeways this set was also offered with a hand blaster weapon but the seller wasnt offereing that with this auction.

These came dyed and ready for installation, so no worries about painting here!

The mineplow looks sweet, really fills out heavytreads lower chest/abs and sets him off a treat!
The missle pod pops in to the flip out weapon which is at the back of his turret, fitting flush, looks cool and there is no hindrance when transforming or folding it in or out.
A 3mm peg is also included which fits in the hole at the front of his tank mode/right arm and gives you the option of adding any 3mm clip on weapon to it. Very cool!

All in all a very nice set offering an extra dimension to the already awesome PCC figure, none of which hinder the transformation from tank to robot to combiner torso mode.

Today I finally opened the box (it arrived Friday) that contained the TFSource Deluxe Insecticon 3-pack and Mini-HoS Shockwave!

Both are awesome, but I have a special love for Chop Shop. He was the only Deluxe Insecticon I had as a child.

My PoL arrived this morning!

F-4 Phantom - Great toy, even if the plastic doesn't feel quite as good as Herc. Just need to do something about those damn squeaky hips...

F-15 Eagle - This guy is even better than Phantom, very solid!

Function-X1: Code - Love him! While brown might not be the best colour for a toy these days FP didn't have much of a choice there. Only paint app issue I have is the lack of headlights.

Warbot Assaulter - I now understand what people meant when they talked about his weight! He is a great toy, but that stupid 'cruiser' mode ruins it. If they wanted something like that he should've had Starship/Aircraft Carrier modes instead. Jet and bot modes are superb and the modified cruiser mode will suffice for me.
