Vehicles that deserve the transformers treatment

There is more to Transformers than movies, cartoons, comics and toys. Discuss anything else Transformers here.

Postby AxiomScion » Mon Mar 19, 2007 2:22 am

oh i was thinking fleshy dinobots as in there G1 forms looking more like the real thing and transforming nearly the same way as the originals do. A grey fleshy Grimlock with a tanned underhide should still look like his G1 counterpart if they followed close to his transformation sequence. Think of it as Dinobots for the Masterpiece/Classics line.

Then there BW counterparts would have something to fight :-P

Nemesis Primal wrote:And if you HAVE to put faction symbols where they'll be visible on an organic alt mode, at least make them less glaring... The new paint jobs for the BW 10th anniversary reissues were very nice except for the faction symbols being too obvious on the organic beast modes. The only one whose insignia was hidden in beast mode was Rattrap, and he was a Transmetal and it wouldn't have mattered as much! Seriously, they could have made Cheetor's Maximal insignia black so it would fit in with his spots... A big Autobot insignia on a car is less glaring, since you can paint a car any way you want. You can't paint a lion or t-rex, though, certainly not safely.
varied off colored tophs of animal hair in the shape of there faction signia. The mximals could tend to have a lighter off color shading while the predacons should boast the darker of color. The exception to this rule should be those like Tigertron (light grey) or Ravage (dark purple) due to there inherent color scheme. This idea could easily be incorperated into the marketable toy line.

But seriously, object formers. I would love to see Signal Lancer get a figure, even if it ends up as a mini-con. Maybe monuments. The CN Tower, The Sphinx, Yankee Stadium, just weird **** like that.

Wasn't there a Gobot that turned into a Hearse? I know there was one that transformed into a Garbager Truck - it was named Flytrap - and I'm pretty sure there was a Taxi.

And the Blue Angels are F-18s.

I can't believe they didn't do a Phoenix in Beast Machines.

And the cockroach could look something like this, no?

i'll probably work on that...

But Rachet is crappy H2. I want to see a Hummer H1 or Humvee as a TF.

Something like a B-2 Sprit or freakin B-52 Stratofortress would kick @$$.

As for the first part... I didn't say not to do it that way. I just said if they only pick one to do any way at all, pick Sludge.

As for the off-color tufts of hair... That works too, though it would obviously have to be off-color scales, feathers, etc on some of them... Frankly, I'd prefer the faction symbols hidden in any disguise-based alt mode (as opposed to, say, one that has no business blending in anywhere, like a mechanical scorpion or an ancient cybertronian spacecraft), no matter what the alt mode is, but it bothers me more on organic animals and I figured making them blend in would be a nice compromise.

Since I brought up non-disguised alt-mode, how about some floaty little spy-drones as alt modes? Or a Beast Machines Diagnostic Drone or Mole Drone that turns into a more traditional robot mode?

Ooh, Nice. I always wanted to see a re-release of beast wars dragon megatron with his rubber ducky included as a transformer. Can you picture a yellow duck predacon? :)

They deffinitely need more aquatic based transformers. Considering that in just about every series, the majority of their time is spent on Earth, they need some bots that can control the oceans. I don't just mean battle ships or submarines, either. Simple tug boats or fishing trawlers would be good to.

Some other forms that you wouldn't normally think of when coming up with a new TF would also be nice. Maybe a platypus, or a zamboni, thing like that that are just straight out of left field.

I would love to see a Snowmobile or something Canadian like that. A Zambonie like Rampage01 suggested would be wicked awsome. Not like the zambonie around my home town though... it's just a tractor with a warm bucket of water and a squeegee

That would actually work for me, but only if the bucket and the squeegee were also transformers. :)

EDIT: I just realized the MOST obvious alt mode that nobody's brought up... Human.

I think something totally stupid and pontless like a door would be so funny. Kids would buy them get them home, open them, transform them and then go "Well... that was pointless" Either that or a Unicycle.

Point taken, but very much not what I meant. I mean a human as an actual alt-mode, resulting in a robot with human kibble once it's transformed. Mainly because the idea is weird enough to be amusing.

I think I have the weirdest idea for an alt-mode though... When I first saw one of the headmaster nebulans when I was a kid, I didn't knw anything about Transformers... I thought the other body parts were the same way... One guy was the chest, another the hand, etc. Obviously, knowing what I know now, I can tell this would be boring on its own, so how about... A reverse gestalt! A perfectly normal Transformer for the most part, but he can split into a troop of tiny robots without their own individual alt modes.

I really thought that should have been Megatron's secret weapon in the final stages of the Beast Wars, when he wanted to kill the protohumans - a Predacon agent that transformed into a protohuman.

Now that I think about it, I'm a little dissappointed they didn't go that route with the Facsimiles in the IDW universe.

But how would that work? how would a humanoid robot transform into a human? Would you have some bizzare way of turning the whole robot inside out to reveal clothes and fake hair on the inside?

I hadn't really thought about that, but when I mentioned the idea, I knew already that I wasn't the first one to think of this. Dave Van Domelin has already followed the idea through to its conclusion.
