But aren't you looking forward to the new molds? I'm not super pumped, but I'm interested to see what they will feature.

I though the Toys were well made. Jazz seemed pretty solid. I'm more interested in the two-packs and dioramas though.

I liked the movie line just fine, problem is I never got to see anything beyond wave 1½ of figures.
It's hard to judge a toyline when I've only actually seen about 1/5 of what the line has to offer.

I thought the movie line was decent. It was a nice tie-in,
but the Hyper-realism (iffy, yes, but that WAS their goal)
just doesn't do it for me. I love Transformers because of the
fantasy involved (Giant alien robots, anyone?) So unrealistic
altmodes and blocky robots aren't any chips on my shoulders.
I missed most of Cybertron, so I'll have that to keep me
busy until Animated/Classics 2.0.

You and me both. I have to thank the movie toys for bringing me back to the fold but I've been having much more fun with the Alts, Classics, etc.

The movie line is here for a little while longer (at least Christmas 2007), but like AK I really wish it would end sooner, bring on Animated and Classics, to make me poor again!
Indeed, it would be even better if it ended forever! Here's hoping TF2 is a terrible rush job of a movie and flopps at the box office or gets stuck in production hell and never sees the light of day. Come on Hasbro get back to what works best! Animated series with TF characters we can idenify with rather than ugly characterless plies of (s)crap.

I have interest in the last couple Voyager figures, but that's all. Maybe not so glad it's coming to an end so much as I'm looking forward to the new lines. I liked the line for a while but crappy availability and crappy toys add up to my just looking ahead.

Jesus, don´t you get tired of bashing the movie?! Hope the movie is a sucess for two things:
1- make people like this shut up
2- make more movies and perhaps a live action series.
Please Hasbro ignore ignore this kind of people and keep doing the good job!

I have to agree. I rather liked the movie and I like the toys for it. I hope TF2 does at least as good as the first movie and has just as good toys.

You know what, I really don't! It was crap, it had two semi developed TF characters in the whole movie and they only received about 30mins of screen time combined! Added to that the designs were ugly, overly complex and generally unrecognizable as Transformers. I'll stop bashing the movies when they stop making them crap, and no amount and 'success' is going to change that.

The thing I like about the movie line is it's a return to real-life vehicle alt modes. That was something sorely missing from previous lines I think.
I won't be sad to see it end though. Not because I don't like it, but because i'm anxious for new stuff.

The movie line is the last line that I will be picking figures from until we get the Classic 2.0.
I have little interest in the Animated line, that may change when we get to see all the finished figures but the general look of the designs so far put me off.
Good for the wallet though!

Everyone here is talking as if the movie line will never be restocked and it's time already passed (its only been 3-4 months
).
I really hope this isn't the case. I still have to collect Swindle, Wreckage, Payload, and the Leader Megatron. Whatever Hasbro decides to do... they sure will get a piece of my mind....

I must be one of the few who really dig the Cybertronian aesthetics of the movie. Not that I dislike the alt modes of the new Transformers, but I love Megatron's cybertronian jet. Wish they would come out wiht some Cybetronian vehicle modes.
I'll be sad to see the movie line go out without a few new molds. Otherwise, roll on Animated and Classics 2.

The few new non character molds packed in with the avalanche of repaints does not excite me at all. To be honest, the Card Bio's the non-movie figures get gives the figures more character than the whole Movie gave the 5 lead Autobots.
To clarify, I do not hate the movie figures as such, I just do not like them as much as any of the other lines I have collected, and I am far more excited by the upcoming ANimated and Classics/Universe figures that are on their way.

for me the movie line was preety good, but like every movie line only the main characters sell and most of the rest just warm the shelves. I have all the show characters, so unless they make a leader bonecrusher or bigger blackout or screamer, im prolly not gonna get any more. Just sad the the animated series is gonna suck so im not gonna have the fun of the hunt for almost a year until clasics 2.0 comes out

Out of the 4 you listed, only Megatron is worth getting.

What you got against Wreckage Ray???

Wow oops I confused Wreckage with Dreadwing. Everytime someone mentions Payload and Swindle in the same sentence I automatically sub in Dreadwing too. The three lens-stooges.
I like my Wreckage. I think he's actually a bit overrated, but he is indeed one of the top deluxes in this line.

You know what? We really do get tired of you posting the same crap over and over! (Different packaging, same product.)
We get it. You didn't like the movie. You're entitled to that opinion and you're more than welcome to hate it.
However, you've already said your piece more than once (and then some) didn't you get your point across already? Yes, you have.
You hate the designs, hate the movie, hate the toys, hate the work put into it, etc. You only need 1-3 posts conveying that message in detail and we've got it. You've gone well past letting us know, and now you're *SHOVING* it down our throats.
We're sick of it, and we're tired of reading post after post after post. I don't post about how much I like the movie anymore, I have no reason to.
People know where I stand on this issue. People know where everyone stands on this issue, and we definitely know where *YOU* stand on this issue because you trumpet this whine of your's every chance you get and we're sick of it! Give it a rest already!
You hate it, we get it! Find something else to complain about, something that truly needs fixing, something *you* can do to correct a problem!
Here's a few things you need to realize:
1.) You don't like the designs, fine. There is absolutely nothing you can do about it though.
2.) You don't like the movie, fine. There is absolutely nothing you can do about it though.
3.) They were intricate designs, not GEEWUNNED enough for you (and many others), fine. There is absolutely nothing you can do about it.
Since you can't "fix" the problem, and it's well past the time where you should realize it, isn't it time to find something else to go on about? You're driving people nuts! STOP IT!
Keep your opinion. Keep your right to voice it. No one will take that from you. (Past a certain point. There's voicing an opinion and being outright troublesome) Just stop rubbing our faces in it like a dog that messed on the floor. WE GOT THE FRIGGIN' POINT!

Autobot032 I understand you are a fan of the movie designs and toys. Me too. I like the invasion theme; I like how they all aren't anthropomorphized and look like stupid humans, and the intricate looks, while making the toy line harder to QC than blocky figures, is also fine by me.
But.
The only tiny gripe I have with the 'alien invasion' theme is that there were only 5 Autobots and 8 Decepticons - hardly an invasion force, it was more like an elite team. You say then the characterization would have been in even more trouble? Also, with the toys, considering it's an 'alien invasion' theme, it's not as epic as the Cybertron line.*
Well, this goes back to my own complaint of the movie having waaay too many humans. should've kept it like the cartoons, only 3 or 4 in total.
Furthermore, being a big fan of Japanese pop culture and anime, I can understand if people hate the movie and love the Cybertron cartoon. Really, it was pretty cool. And the Japanese have a tendency to exaggerate epicness, if such a thing was possible. I for one am a big fan of this artistic technique. Also characters in Japanese-designed series tend to be very likeable and easy to identify with. so this naturally extends to the non-movie toys.
* Leader Prime, Megs, 08 Bumblebee and Voyager Ironhide are exempted from this. They are epic 100%.
