You know what, I really don't! It was crap, it had two semi developed TF characters in the whole movie and they only received about 30mins of screen time combined! Added to that the designs were ugly, overly complex and generally unrecognizable as Transformers. I'll stop bashing the movies when they stop making them crap, and no amount and 'success' is going to change that.

I didn't hate it becuase it wasn't like the cartoon, I didn't like it cos it the Transformers in it we little more than plot devices or a means to cause explosions and mass distruction, I bit if a disappointment in a movie called "Transformers" don't you think?

With Brawl's, Blackout's, and Megatron's CANON power, they should never have been taken out by the humans.

Me the general moviegoer thought it was mindless, silly fun.
Me the transformers fan wanted more characterisation, far less human involvement etc but recognises that movie will never be made. For all that money, it had to have very wide appeal beyond the likes of those frequenting this forum.

At the risk of repeating myself I just want to clarify one thing.
I didn't hate it becuase it wasn't like the cartoon, I actually didnt much like the G1 cartoon and could totally see why the movie could never be a straight adaptation of that. I didn't like the movie becuase it the Transformers in it we little more than bit part actors, plot devices and a means to cause explosions and mass distruction. It's I bit if a disappointment in a movie called "Transformers" that the Transformers were forced into the wings to make way for teenage drama, badly conceived 'Men In Black' government organizations and slapstick/bad taste comedy.

Actually I really don’t mind human drama with my TFs, it gives the story grounding and perspective. I loved the character of Kicker in Superlink for example, and I was pretty cool with Sam in the movie. However I felt there were too many unnecessary human characters and sub-plots pulling the attention away from what the movie should have been about...the Transformers.
