I loved the way the looked....complex and alien. Sweet adaption.

At the risk of repeating myself I just want to clarify one thing.
I didn't hate it becuase it wasn't like the cartoon, I actually didnt much like the G1 cartoon and could totally see why the movie could never be a straight adaptation of that. I didn't like the movie becuase it the Transformers in it we little more than bit part actors, plot devices and a means to cause explosions and mass distruction. It's I bit if a disappointment in a movie called "Transformers" that the Transformers were forced into the wings to make way for teenage drama, badly conceived 'Men In Black' government organizations and slapstick/bad taste comedy.

I agree with AK. The movie was good when focused on the giant robot drama, but did we need all the other teen drama stuff? Most likely not. I'm glad it wasn't a direct G1 translation, but who really watches TF for the humans? People who hated the Armada kids (ugh!) will rave about Sparkpulg and the humans of G1 (ugh!). I want robots, not human drama. I can hear teenagers whining anytime, but I can't just look out the window and see robots fighting. I liked the movie a lot, but it was far from really great. As far as the toyline, I liked it at first and then lost interest after I bought some toys that aren't agreeing with what I want from my Transformers. That's all, I can share my opinion on such matters but I don't have to sit here and justify them to anyone. I don't like movie Longarm, and that's fine, if you do, I'm not going to get all worked up and make you tell me why you do, becuase I probably still won't like him. People complain that someone is attacking their opinions and then we all attack each others', so what do we really hope to acchieve here?
