I just wanted to ask what class of submarine is Deepdive? Or at least closest to.
His "fluff", unsurprisingly, does not really say much, other than that he's a submarine...(duh)
The hull design is not a contemporary one, unless I'm mistaken; the "flat top" is prevalent in older submarines (WWII-ish). Newer subs tend to have cigar-shaped "teardrop hulls", which make them better suited to travel submerged. This design, along with the six forward torpedo tubes, make it look like a German Class XXI U-Boat (link: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c6/SRH025-p40.jpg). However, The flat top does have four round portrusions that make it look like it has vertical tubes, which are present in modern day attack submarines.
The presence of forward dive planes, however, make it reminiscent of more modern UK sub-design. Nevertheless, the presence of a cruciform configuration for the rear dive planes makes it look American. Then again, the two-propeller design looks Soviet/WWII German.
Then again, it could just be a random design conceived by the toy designers to look like a mish-mash of sub classes.
I'd say, overall impression-wise, it looks most like the Class XXI U-Boat. What do you guys think?
