shortround wrote:The drop test law is were they have to drop a toy from a certain height and if it doesn't shatter into a million sharp little piece then they can make it. An example of a G1 toy that would not pass the drop test is fortress maximus that is why it wasn't reissued in the rid line of toys. As far a classics Devastator goes don't get me started on what was wrong with him. Yes I would love to see all of the G1 Gestalts reissued under the 25th anniversary banner with some improvements to Superion and Abominus.

I kind of doubt that this will happen though, Hasbro doesn't feel the time is right to make new ones, so I don't think they'll push old ones either.
But here's one--
SHOCKWAVE

Decepticlone Soundwave wrote:I do not believe a word of "We lost the molds" story, so I want Mirage or Wheeljack. Otherwise, Trailbreaker, Shockwave, or Rumble/Frenzy. I don't want to doubt anything, but I have a strange suspicion that Hasbro will only be re-issuing toys that were released in 1984, so that means only 10 Decepticons are possible, while 18 Autobots are. However, I don't know entirely if Hasbro is planning to celebrate the entire franchise or just when it began. We'll see though...

MP Megs I can understand, but this?

There are several figures that stand out and have endured longer, with a stronger fanbase, than others; like for example Starscream. Looking at the series in this aspect make some of the choices obvious. I like the idea they're taking with Prime and the boxed set idea. With Starscream, I think the best way to honor a character like this would be with a boxed set, including several reissues of his many molds throughout the years. I know I'd pick it up, and many collectors who have only recently started getting into the hobby would be all over this as well. There are unlimited avenues that Hasbro/Takara could take with this. It will be interesting to see.
