What if the G1 cartoon had lasted as long as the G1 Marvel c

Motto: ""We came here from a dying world, pushed on by the solar winds.""
That would've been awesome!

Then the cartoon would've been on 7 seasons, 1984-1991. Same number of seasons as ST:TNG, DS9, & V'GER.

The comic book, which was great & I loved, ran from 1984-1991. A shame the cartoon only lasted roughly half that time.

What do you think the G1 cartoon would've been like had it had a real 4th season?

What would seasons 5-7 have been like?

It goes without saying Powermaster Optimus Prime, Pretender Starscream, Piranhacon, etc et al would've appeared.

Your thoughts>
What if Dr. Sam Beckett had Quantum Leaped into a Transformer?

How'd Al & Ziggy handle that?

Well, I do agree with you I do think it would have been nice if the G1 cartoon had continued into the 90s whilst introducing us to the Powermasters, Pretenders, Action Masters & Micromasters and awnsering so many asked questions and bringing the series full circle....However.

With the sad fact that the VA such as Scatman Crothers, Chris Latta, Walker Edmiston, Don Messick etc passing away and leaving us with great legacies kinda just screams the fact that the G1 cartoon could have never been finished without them, I know replacemnts are a possibillity but it just dosnt feel the same.

Also I dont think there would be much to salvage from the G1 cartoon up to this point with most of the needed VA leaving us so soon, Also I think G1 would have lasted 5 seasons from 1984-1990 would sound like a proper year to end the series.

I think we would have gotten Overlord or even some other brand new Decepticon villian. After all, Prime's gotta have someone to fight.

Takara's Headmasters, Masterforce, and Victory never would have happened, and many of those exclusive figures probably would never be produced.

Sixshot would have gotten more screentime.

It would have been nice if G1 continued to air on TV, instead of getting canceled after the Rebirth episodes.

Definitely, if the cartoon had lasted as long as the comics did, then we probably would have gotten to see the rest of the Headmasters, see Powermaster Prime in action, and other stories that were featured in the comics.

Though I probably wouldn't get too much into the Pretenders... I have no love for them.

I think there could have been lots of people to fill in the dead VA spots. Lots of people out there and im sure lots of you know someone who can do almost bang on impersonations of characters from cartoons. And another thing i dont understand is all the technology we have for so many things. I am sure that if a compnay had decided to or one day does decide to go forth with the old TF cartoons and creat new voice work (english) etc if they REALLY wanted jazz's VA Scatman for example you dont think that technolgy could generate his voice onto the shows?

Thing is, though, if I understand what is being implied by the original post, if the G1 cartoon ran from 84-90, then all of those guys would still be alive, Scatman being the only one having died in those six years.

I dont know whether it would have been good. It has been pretty much been established that nearly everyone involved with G-1 had no idea how popular it was and they did not take the series or the mythos very seriously.

Hopefully, if G-1 had continued the show's production would have changed to a group that would have taken it more seriously.

I don't know if the G1 series would have been good after 5 years. When I was a kid I didn't like the series much after the movie. IO just rewatched seasons one and two. As early as season two it seemed like a stretch for them to come up with decent plotlines. I mean, Starscream and Rumble fighting with Warpath in Medeval England?

Cheesy, yes. But I still love it.
