Re: Which Bludgeon should I get for my collection?
Bludgeon has had an interesting history, as far as toys go. Most of them tend to be rare, expensive, small, or some combination of the above. As someone with a similar collection, I've had RotF Voyager Bludgeon for a few years and think he's fantastic. Decently scaled, awesome engineering, great weapons - he has it all. Except for total Geewun accuracy and aesthetic consistency, but pretender shells tend not to "fit in" with other g1 characters anyway. This may change if Hasbro releases fully scaled, updated, and gimmicked pretenders in the future, but this guy is the best option. Fair warning, some collectors have reported issues with the soft plastics on him, but mine has been fine thus far.
Of course, if you prefer his more generic inner robot, that's an entirely different can of worms

Rushing in where Hasbro fears to tread (for now)...

As noted before, Bludgeon has an interesting history with his toys, not even talking about name reuse (for the RiD 2015 Mini-Con). Next to Metalhawk, he had both his inner robot and better known Pretender shell homaged in some shape or form. Here are some that you may want to look into, though be warned some are harder to find than others:
Prime Beast Hunters Bludgeon

Transformers Prime Beast Hunters Cyberverse Bludgeon Gallery
A retool of Commander Class Shockwave (standing between Legion and Legends) he's a surprise entry in the range. Unfortunately, he was a tail-ender of the line and only found in Canada, Europe and Hong Kong.
Robots in Disguise 2015 Bludgeon

No gallery for him, sorry
The size of a Deluxe, and a major retool of Megatronus, easily one of the best to get if you can find him. Another tail-ender, yet he did get spotted in the US. Curiously, he's a (p)redeco of Blastwave, switching out some of the red and orange for blue and making him an Autobot:

Slap a
on him and boom
That guy is easier to get too.

The only one in the list to homage his inner robot only. A retool of CW Onslaught, thus he's able to combine with any compatible Deluxe from Combiner Wars or Power of the Primes. He's meant to combine with the others in his range (Needlenose, Windsweeper, Ruckus/Grabuge and Spinister) to form this monstrosity:

Transformers Subscription Service Thunder Mayhem Gallery
Power of the Primes Quintus Prime with Bludgeon Decoy Suit

Had to include this one. He's the easiest to find, plus if you get a large Bludgeon figure like the RiD 2015 one, you can have some Bludge-inception fun

The original G1 is good.
Power of the Primes is really amazingly detailed for small toy.
RID is also decent but the H threaded tank is weird and the bright red is unusual instead of purple or maroon.
Revenge of the Fallen is on the more expensive sise but worth it.

Thanks for all the advice and images everyone, Once I get Seige Shockwave, Sideswipe, and Ironhide Bludgeon is next, I will most likely go for ROTF and the POTP versions as ROTF is a nice figure and POTP is a way to have a pretender on my shelf (and one of my favorite designs)
Thanks again
Thanks again

That's the best choice and the best combo you can have to fit in a Generations collection.

Come see my latest creation, the COMPLETE combiner team, Scorponok and his Pretenders, forming SHELLSHOCK

RoTF version is one of my favorites, so glad I got one despite having already had his redeco, Banzai Tron, first. No problems with the treads on mine (cross fingers) though the swords/tank cannons can get bent out of shape if not stored well.
The PotP is cool, but the inner "prime" doesn't have any sort of tank mode, and at least on mine, the "suit" doesn't like to hold shut very well and can just flop open at times. None of my other master suits seem to be that bad, so probably a QA problem for just my particular specimen.
I wanted the RID(15) version but never got one. Such is life.
I do have a g1 version, and he's not very inspired. I'm glad it's one of the few toys of that era I did pick up, but if I was looking today, I wouldn't pay a premium for one when the ROTF version leaves it in the dust.

Here's an idea: Take the Prime Masters from PotP Bludgeon and Bomb-Burst, and switch the legs.
