deluxe plane and simple. I've heard alot of people take ultimate back after opening it. Other than some crappy gimmicks it's a $80 paper weight. Get deluxe

Search through a few past pages. The almost exact same question came up before; lots has been written already. You've got to make your decision on that.
Another way you can help decide is go to youtube.com, then key in their names and watch the reviews.
My short take:
If you're looking for robots, have the luxury of getting anything you want, and can only choose one for whatever reason, pick up 08BB for sure. You won't regret it. Colour, size, proportions, transformation process; all cool. And he's $9.99 over in the US.
If you are looking for robotics, as a electronic gadget or amusing display, Ultimate's good if you can stomach the price. He's not as interactive as Roboraptor or Robosapien from what I've seen. I haven't had him long; still discovering by trial and error. The frustrating thing is that for all the cool things they stuffed him with, you'd expect Hasbro to expound a bit on it in their instruction sheet, but noooooooooo..........

Get deluxe 08, and then go buy Classics Bumblebee.
You will not be disappointed with either, I gurantee it. They are both frickin mini-alternators.

Deluxe '08 FTW. I have Ultimate, '74 and deluxe '08. If I were to keep just 1 it would be deluxe '08. Not even a second thought about it.

well it actually depend on your taste if you like a top notch decent 8/10 accurate bb 08 just buy the deluxe or if you are the type of person who likes flashy lights and sound and cool animatronics get the ultimate one but if you got a whole bed of money just get both but i personally like the bb 08 deluxe very nice!!!

Do yourself a favor and save $70 bucks... get the 08 bumblebee deluxe.
I'm one of the one's that bought the Ultimate and almost immediately had buyers remorse. He looks nice and all but for $80 bucks.. I felt like I had waisted my money. Worst feeling in the world...
