He wasn't a G1 character.

Technically he was an unknown micromaster, along with Barricade. Still G1, but so obscure he might as well have been invented for the movie.

They pretty much were invented for the movie; I'm pretty sure they're not the Micromaster characters, and that any similarities are purely coincidental...

Were you referring to the original poster or to the guy you quoted? I can understand your response if it was for the OP but the second guy was just answering the question (and I think that he, too, thought it was an obvious answer).

Still though, not everyone's watched/followed the movie enough to really be able to remember all the names/bots/alt modes. No reason to humiliate the guy.
