If they were to do an update on Duocons then i'd love them to keep with that particular gimmick.

Burn,I agree with what your saying & also prefer my G-1 updated homages to be exact as possible.

HOWEVER,TF fans were complaining about energon leader sized optimus prime's 4 drones not transforming into individual robot modes. TF fans hated the PCC combiners because the drones had no individual robot modes.

So,would TF fans or todays younger kids+parents be willing to buy 2 basics or 2 deluxes or 2 voyagers duocons that are 2 vechicles with no individual robot modes. that are 2 vechicles that combine to form a singular big robot mode.

at the very least we need to compromise a bit to please todays kids+parents & newer TF fans who didn't buy any TF toys in the 1980's. either go the energon 2-in-1 shirt & pants route. where each vechicle transforms into a robot, then both combine to form a huge robot. or each vechicle transforms into a animal then both combine to form a big robot.

Stop generalizing all TF fans. Not everyone hated Prime's non-transforming drones. And not everyone hated PCC. I didn't like them, but I know a number of people on this very site like them.

Yo.

My only problem with PCC isn't that the drones don't have 'bot modes(they're drones, not characters, it's forgivable), it's that there aren't more of them available. I'd love Drone packs sans core bodies.

I knew of these alrady, but they look pretty bad, well really bad really!

I've seen someones attempt a Duocons recently lets see if i can dig it out

Bonus!

Flywheels and battletrap, no if only Hasbro would see this guys stuff and do something along those lines, that would be mint!

These don't appear to have individual robot modes though. The Helicopter doesn't have any legs for a robot mode.

And not all of the Energon combinations where horrible, though some were sillier than others.

Prime's Drones where drones in the show, so they were accurate to that.

And the PCC drones, I don;t think it was as much a complaint about them being drones, rather the fact that having no robot modes, hasbro was not able to make them look like decent arms and legs, and instead gave them the really obnoxious spring loaded gimmick, and horrible, horrible gangly claw arms and unstable leg modes.

Aye but they are pretty much the same as the original figures, just updated.

Wouldn't be a bad idea given that the Commanders were released on their own without any little love buddies.

A Classics update for Blitzwing would be excellent, I wasn't that impressed with the Animated version, although it was faithful to that show at least.

I have 3 PCC figures and they're alright, but if the drones did have individual robot modes like minicons the concept may have been more successful.

Saying that, minicon-sized combiner limbs with removable arms/feet would be a nightmare if bought for kids, but trying to integrate the limb modes fully within a figure that small would be extremely hard to engineer and the results would probably look crap.
