My two cents. The classics Seeker Mold is definately showing signs of mold wear. Thundercracker's right peg hole is very loose. Acid Storm shows the same looseness, but not nearly as bad. I don't think too many more Seekers will come from that mold unless they replace it. It probably will see some major Quality issues soon. But as far as the Seekers go, it had a good run.
Personally what I would like to see from that mold, should they decide to do it:
the light blue seeker from the rainmaker group.
Sunstorm
the light purple Seeker (I called him Stratonimus)
Ghost of Starscream (that'd be coooool)

I'd love to see a ghost of Starscream figure. Maybe if that translucent TFA Lockdown sells...?

For anyone who hasn't seen Spotlight: Sledge (and why not?!), my gritty and dark fanfiction piece "Holiday" is posted here.

agreed a Ghost of Starscream would be very cool to see in that mold. I love the idea of translucent characters when it warrents for them. Speaking of which I still need to get my hands on a Clear Blue Mirage from the 07 Botcon set, only one I haven't aquired at this point.

That's one I'm looking for too. The clear figures are neat from time to time, but not the way Star Wars was coming out with translucent JEdi everyones...thats too much. A ghost of Starscream? Great idea.

Ghost of Screamer and Sunstorm would be all kinds of awesome. Got my Henkei Seekers waiting for me, just gotta pick em up.
Im not a must have the seekers type, this was just a treat to myself cause before last Botcon I never really shelled out cash for toys.
Thanks to Geekee1, Fender Bender and Counterpunch for showing me the light.

I am off my clear/translucent phase. I think Star Wars spoiled it for me. I went all nuts to pick up the Holo Yoda of a few years back. 55 holos later, I'm just not digging holo figures of any line anymore.

Re: Will there be TFU 2.0 Skywarp & Thundercracker?
I don't want to add fuel to the fire, I can understand both sides (though I side with the rerelease them voice), but...
I don't understand the "They can't release them because they were exclusives and it'll piss off the people who got them for that reason!" I would hope if you bought the botcon set it was because you love Transformers rather than you wanted something other people won't be able to have or you wanted an investment. I enjoy my retail Transformers, and knowing thousands of other people own them as well doesn't set me off, it actually makes me happier. I own exclusives that have been rereleased at retail (see Hasbro's Star Wars, they do it ALL the time) and I really don't care. I feel the seekers are important enough to rerelease them. And I seriously doubt Hasbro cares if they piss off some people. First, they pissed off a lot of people making them exclusives in the first place (regardless of the reasons, I know Funpub was doing us a "favor"). Second, there will never be a time where everyone is happy. There is criticism on EVERYTHING Hasbro does. They offer the awesome MP Prime in the states? Well it's no good because it has small short stacks. I remember a lot of outrage over that (I owned the first hasbro release and I was very happy with it, and eventually I saved up and got a great deal on the MP and it doesn't change my opinion that they're both equally great figures).
So I say rerelease them exactly the same, release them with different apps, have Takara just continue them in henkei, or whatever. The more G1 inspired Transformers out there for people to buy, the better (as long as they don't pegwarm which they most likely won't). And those who want exclusivity or a good financial investment, start buying original artwork or stocks. Sell those Botcon sets and get those stocks while the market is low.
I'm boycotting Acidstorm and the upcoming Starscream repaint. I remember the arguments made by the clubbers and a main point was Hasbro didn't want to flood the market with the same mold, and they wouldn't use it more than 3 times. What's with Acidstorm then? And you can't argue that the other seekers aren't well known enough. I'm a die hard G1 fan and I had no idea who Acidstorm was until they released him.
Then again I'm kind of sick of the mold myself. It was awesome at first but it's got it's flaws (the arms not pointing out without moving the back wings, size, etc...)
Well whatever happens I hope we can all unite as a fan community and bash the upcoming movie designs until the movie actually comes out and we can praise how awesome they are. See you then!

ugh, if it's not bitching about a repaint it's complaining and begging for these seekers..
get over it.
you'll get a 2.0 dirge in the upcomming 2 pack target comic line.
figure out the rest from there.
i'm sorry, i don't have any sympathy for this topic anymore

I'm not entirely sure why some people seem to keep dragging this thread towards a bitch session, but the point is not whether you think Hasbro did a good thing or a bad thing, or who will get pissed off if they change it now.
Most people here are really glad to have gotten all the Classic Seekers they have. I think it's safe to say that this is the first time since G1 that Hasbro has given us all 6 Seekers in the same mold, or even in the same line.
Sure, Hasbro has made comments before about not making more than 3 repaints of a mold to avoid pegwarming, but we all know Seekers are an exception to that rule. No matter how many times you repaint it, fans will buy them up to build whole Seeker armies or to repaint them into custom figures. It's a great mold as far as its transformation, style, and articulation.
Maybe Hasbro will mass release approximations of the BotCon Seekers, and maybe they won't. If they do, I'll skip Thundercracker since I bought the Henkei version, but I'd buy Dirge and Thrust. However, if it never happens, I won't miss it one bit. I've got five Seekers in my Universe Decepticon army, and that's more than enough to get the point across.
On a humourous note,
To People With 2007 Seekers Who Don't Want a Mass-Release:
Boo. Hoo. You got yours three years before anybody else. There's your exclusivity.

It's comments like this that gets threads locked. Don't make a post again in this thread.

Future prediction... Cybertron Starscream mold repainted into Skywarp, Thundercracker, and Ramjet...possibly Thrust if the TRU two-pack version is not Thrust enough for collectors.
I also would not mind a repaint of Classics Starscream into Thundercracker, if it were in his Actionmaster colors. Beauty thy name be AM Thundercracker!
It's best not to get into the debate. Both sides are stuck as they want to be. No amount of typing is going to change either. (This is the same statement I have made repeatedly in ALL THE OTHER THREADS about this).
