Just wondering if hasbro will make these Decepticon air warriors again? I figured they made Acid Storm, which is a very kool figure to add to any Transformer collection and now their making Starscream, they should continue the effort and do things right.

No, the've already made them within the original Classics. Hasbro has already said they won't be making those in the new Universe line.

Same goes for Dirge and Thrust.

You may get Sunstorm and... Stormstorm, but that's about it for more seekers.

Motto: ""Fate Rarely Calls Upon Us At A Moment Of Our Choosing""
ActionFigs.com: Although we realize that Hasbro and the Transformers Collectors Club might like to keep the BotCon exclusives as unique as possible, the demand for the remaining three 'Seeker' Decepticons (Thrust, Dirge, and Thundercracker) is enormous. An upcoming Starscream figure looks to be a repaint of the Classics figure from two years ago in a more cartoon-accurate paint scheme. Since these other three Seekers had minor color differences in their various incarnations, could it be possible that they could see a wider release in altered versions that could not easily be mistaken for the BotCon versions (especially since Thrust and Dirge also required new wings which are, so far, unique to these releases)? And while we're on the subject of repainted Seekers, can we expect a Sunstorm in the future as well?

Hasbro: Thank you for understanding what the big issue is with the exclusive sets - we need to ensure that we don't de-value those sets. I think that it is possible for Hasbro to release new versions of those characters as long as there are enough differences from the original Classics versions. However, we have been trying to get a wide variety of the Seekers out before going back to do 2nd versions. So we don't have any immediate plans for those 3 characters, but they are not totally "off limits". And to your Sunstorm question - Acid Storm was originally going to be Sunstorm, but we changed our mind. So now you know Sunstorm is on the short list of Seekers!

Yeah baby. Give me Thrust,Thundercracker,Dirge and Sunstorm. It goes to show if we moan enough they will probably listen 8-}. But seriously I'm glad that the Botcon people can still call there seekers exclusive and the general public can finish there set. But I will believe it when I see it.

Doesn't matter what they say, they still won't do it. It would upset more fans then it does appease.

I highly doubt that.
In fact, when Hasbro starts getting to the point of running out of Decepticon characters for the Classics series of the Universe line,
I bet we'll see Thrust, Dirge, and Thundercracker.
Considering that Universe will be on the back burner before, during, and months after TF:ROTF comes out due to the Movie line,
these (potential) releases may not happen until a year from now.
By then, the original Classics line will be what, 3-4 years old??
When you look at it like that, it seems more realistic imo.

I sure hope so. I agree with Soundwave76's reasoning.

All they have to do is make slight variations to make them different from the botcon figures. Think of all the people who missed out on the botcon releases, as well as the completists who did get the botcon versions, but will buy the retail versions anyway.

I mean come on, a chance to release three or four more repaints from the same mold, perhaps two with slight retooling, and knowing that many fans will grab them up?

Low-cost repaint/retool + guaranteed sales = very smart move for Hasbro.

Want Classics Thundercracker = Buy Henkei Thundercracker.

Be realistic folks. If Hasbro mass releases a Universe (Classics 2.0) Thundercracker, Dirge & Thrust no one will ever trust the exclusivity of the Botcon sets ever again. I would imagine that Hasbro does not want to take that risk and mess things up for the TFCC.

Although since Skywarp was only a Target 2-pack exclusive with Magnus a more anime correct paint job and decoed Skywarp released later isn't too far out of the realm of possibilities.

QFT. No one was upset when Takara did it only cause it was reasonable. Some were mad anyway.

Now, keep in mind it is possible they’ll release these characters, however they’d be drastically different. I would also imagine Hasbro would not won’t to discourage people from going to a convention that promotes their toys.

If they were going to release these figures at retail, they would’ve done it already.

Anybody outside the BotCon-visiters doubt that, and there are a lot more people out there than those, starting with international collectors.
The Henkei are good, but still cost a lot.

Why not? These always get the blood warm, and end on the sixteenth page with a couple guys getting banned and the ultimate locking of the thread.

Nothing’s more fun than the old seeker debate. 8)

You know as an owner of the Botcon 2007 set, as long at the detail was sufficently different, but still look like their respective characters I'd be fine with it. Sure it may cut the insane value on the set currently but it's still a unique and valuable set. I don't regret purchasing it one bit if the other seekers do get done in the future.

I agree. I'd still buy more Classics Seekers even though I own the Botcon ones. I wouldn't even care if they only slightly altered the Botcon Seekers and released them, I'm just tired of the arguement. But, I think Nekoman's right....nothing gets Seibertron jumping like a Classics Seekers debate.

Wasn't there only 1400 botcon sets? That's the number that comes to mind when I'm thinking about these things... If that number is correct I'm sure 1000-1200 would re-buy Dirge if he was done with a proper wing re-mold and better colours. The botcon one is a worthless repaint... sort of if they repainted classics Megatron into classics Galvatron... it just isn't right.

And Thundercracker has already been done. And done better.

I laugh when it seems that a petty few somehow think they own the copyright to Thrust just because they went to some Toy Fair. This is the one I am looking forward to getting.

I realize what they said.

My complaint is the argument that "these have been exclusive long enough, now it won't affect those original releases." That argument makes zero sense.

I believe that if you want to be a Transformers fan now that you must be given a dictionary with the word exclusive highlighted.

I laugh at the ignorant masses that believe exclusives “just aren‘t fair!”, or that it’s okay to release something at retail if it’s been exclusive long enough.

But our laughs are irrelevant of the point.

Well, obviously Dirge is not that worthless of a repaint if people are still clamoring for a general release of Dirge.
