My complaint is the argument that "these have been exclusive long enough, now it won't affect those original releases." That argument makes zero sense.
I believe that if you want to be a Transformers fan now that you must be given a dictionary with the word exclusive highlighted.
Sledge wrote:Yeah, and when I rule the world, people will be forced to use words properly. Until then, Hasbro get to decide what happens with Transformers. Doesn't matter if it makes sense to you. They don't care. If they've looked at sales figures for Seeker repaints and realised there's a shitload of money to be made, you betcha ass they'll chuck the dictionary page with "exclusive" in the bin.

Geekee1 wrote:You are completely missing my point man. I don't care if they can or can't release them. I'm just stating that the argument that they've been out long enough doesn't make sense. Nothing to do with the toys, just that argument.

I am fairly certain that most children, save the ones that have parents that are fans, have no idea who the remaining seekers are, and therefore do not care.
Sledge wrote:Um, Delicon? Fascinating though it was to hear AGAIN why the three BotCon seekers got released there, it has bugger all to do with what we're talking about. Just FYI.
Stockade wrote:Just wondering if hasbro will make these Decepticon air warriors again? I figured they made Acid Storm, which is a very kool figure to add to any Transformer collection and now their making Starscream, they should continue the effort and do things right.
diosoth wrote:I think paying $50-$100 for a $10 toy is ridiculous anyway. I also refuse to buy from the club, simply because they charge more for the... experience? Privelege? They charge more because they feel like it.
Ok, I'll try and bring you up to speed. We're discussing the possibility of Hasbro releasing the aforementioned characters. Your reiterating of why the BotCon '07 Seekers weren't released at mass retail really doesn't have any relevance to this particular topic. It is relevant if you look at the first post (and some others on recent threads)
Geekee1 wrote:Sowndwave76 wrote:By then, the original Classics line will be what, 3-4 years old??
When you look at it like that, it seems more realistic imo.
I'm not getting into this argument again, but can you please explain to me how time affects exclusivitey?
Sowndwave76 wrote:Again, I think there is gonna be a point where Hasbro almost has to release those characters...

The list of G1 Decepticons already seems a little short.
Sowndwave76 wrote:I don't think it ruins the trust of exclusivity of future Botcon sets,
as long as Hasbro doesn't make the mistake again of having
original-to-G1-characters as exclusives.

Savage wrote:Personally, I'm fine with Hasbro finishing out the Rainmakers and letting it go. Move on, and find some other mold to repaint a thousand times.
Savage wrote:...On the flipside, I wouldn't mind seeing Hasbro repaint Ramjet into Dirge and Thrust. The lack of unique wings, combined with slightly different paint details should be enough to distinguish them from the BotCon exclusives. Those who got the Games of Deception Set could still be proud that their Dirge and Thrust have cartoon-accurate wings...
