You must be talking about GI Joe Megatron, not WW Megatron. My GI Joe is perfectly fine, thank you. No detachable limbs or anything.

id say the beast wars alligator version.

the 'non accurate' accusations thrown at gen 1 megs are unfair (so to speak) as the toy was designed way before the animation was conceived, the anime version is innacurate compared to the toy, im not suggesting that would have been preferable (it wouldnt) but the gen 1 toy is a clever little design in its own right. previously it was from the microman line (aka micronauts in the USA) as was pretty much all the non seeker/larger car toys.

What?

It has a good robot mode AND it fits onto Fortress Maximus in head mode.

I think it's hilarious, myself. Like the original version of the disembodied head of Frenzy from the 2007 movie

The worst Megatron toy ever huh?

I really hate Beast Machines Megatron(the so-called "Mega" figure"), but Machine Wars Megatron looks much worse. However, I don't actually have him so...

Anyway, I actually really like Voyager Megatron from the movie. The ice is somewhat annoying, but it hardly makes him a bad figure, and the foot problem is really inconsequential.

There's a fair few I don't have, including many that I would like, and a couple that I really wouldn't. I'll probably not buy a 2007 Movie version, as I just don't care for the design. Likewise on the Cybertron series. That BM/RiD head Megabolt Megatron looks quite good actually, I'd never seen it before. No match compared to any of the BW versions of course. The Energon version is really nice, but I prefer the Galvatron repaint (as the design is...well, Galvatron, not Megatron) but the Armada Megatron is pretty cool. Mixes BW and G1/G2 ideas together.
I'm going to say the worst is one of the movie ones, probably the Voyager sized one. Mainly because I dislike the ice. Or rather, I dislike that it is permanent. Were it a kind of action feature ("removable ice armour!") or something, I could at least see play value in it.
assembling a Neo-G1/TF:TM cast. Please PM if you have (or know of) the following at a reasonable price: Classics or Henkei Astrotrain, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, or 3rd Party iGear Ratchet and Ironhide.
Also looking for Universe Repugnus and Overbite, Frostbite and Longhorn and any Webdiver toys.

Leader movie Megs is better hwne you repaint him. Then he becomes worthy.

But yeah - I never knew why they released Megatron as a basic in Machine Wars. Try standing him with Prime or Starscream from the same series - it's hard to imagine he's the Decepticon leader. They should have swapped molds for Starscream and Megs: Made Megs the bomber and Screamer the fighter jet. Then the seeker basics from that line would have made more sense.

Mind you I am looking for the Machine Wars basics (i.e. all the jets). There's something so crappy about them that they're worth having.

seriously anyone who is disappointed with Masterpiece Megatron either doesn't own him because they can't afford him or find him, hasn't even seen one in person, or is mechanically declined.

I enjoyed transforming this guy, matter of fact I waited for a challenge like this for a while and his robot mode is awesome. You can achieve amazing poses of him and MP prime in battle or him beating down Starscream for treason. He doesn't break unless you are careless, no offense to those who have broken theirs but I know several people including myself who have not had any problems.

As was previously stated, there is no rust issue. Megs can be wiped off.

Now...If there are those who were lucky enough to get their hands on this future must have classic masterpiece and are so unappreciative of the art they hold in their possession, then please contact me and I can direct you to many people who would love to purchase him from you in a heartbeat.

MP Megs, as good as it gets for a Meg toy form IMO.

It seems every Megatron toy comes out mediocre or downright uninspiring.

Maybe except for Classics Megatron.

Classics Megs suffers from the same problem as Movie Leader Megs -- shite colours. Honestly though, the only recent Megatron figures that I really don't like are Titanium GiJoe Megs (absolute rubbish) and that Cybertron repaint of BW10th Megs (totally pointless).

Classics Megs, although incorrectly colored, is chuck full of articulation. With great looking robot, and a decent looking gun. At least i can readily identify it as a gun. (But it does look too kiddie in design)

While Movie Megs is a pain to pose, very limited articulation, robot looks like... uh... *can't describe*, and alt mode looks like a... uh... *can't describe either*.

Ive always felt the problem with Megatron is, unlike Prime, he dosnt have a consistent look. So instead of making veriations on the same theme, they are always totaly reinventing him. Result? Instead of a lots of very good toys like Prime has, he gets a list of very random toys, a lot of which dont really make sence.

Not true at all.

Articulation be damned. Transformation, detail, and coloring are where it's at. G1 yo. It's the Major League.

Megatron the emmissary.

In Beast Machines, Megatron transfers his program into a mobile battlestation resembling his head. The legs on the toy are actually the most inaccurate thing about the toy.

Essentially, he's a floating disembodied head. The head shouldn't even transform actually.

The collest thing is that you can hook the head up onto Fortress Maximus, creating Megatron Maximus (TM Counterpunch).
