Your biggest TF gripe?
Mine is the complicatedness of the movie toys. I love em all, but sometimes I get the urge to transform them, but when I get there, I suddenly don't want to because of their complicatedness. Thats why I'm excited for animated.
What's your gripe?

Y'know, there's a phrase amongst the Gundam community: It's all Gundam, it's all good.
Why can't Transfans take that approach?
EDIT: Ok, I agree with Sylus, clear guns SUCK

Re: Your biggest TF gripe?
I hate the lack of realistic TF weaponry. First Wave of Classics for example, hot rod and grimlock have guns that you'd never see in TF and all the guns in Energon were crap. How scared would you be if you saw a person holding a crystal clear "gun" with a spring inside? I'd prefer realistic, nonfiring guns for display. Hasbro should package TFs with both, one gun kids would use for their TF, the other collectors would use for display purposes. That's my biggest gripe.

TFs for trade, let me know if you have any of the ones I want or if you're interested in the ones I have.

Dude, I love the complicated transformations. Alternators Wheeljack is one of my favorites for that reason, not to mention the sheer glory of both modes. It's so complicated that it makes it itneresting for me, which is a reason why I too will like animated, the transformations look interesting. It's gotta be more than just standing a car up and pulling the arms out.

I would have to agree, the fandoms fickle and pessimistic nature is very grating on those fans who actually enjoy their hobby.

My biggest gripe is Hasbro's distribution of the toys. Especially with Masterpiece Starscream. I think they just throw darts at a map and send stuff to wherever the darts land.

Hasbro has nothing to do with distribution.
Nothing, nada, no influence what so ever.
None.
It's the retail outlets, plain and simple.

Fans who stick to one saga of Transformers and can't get their heads out of it. They bitch and bash every other Transformers Saga other than their own.
Don't get me wrong, I love Armada more than every other saga, but I don't go around saying that RiD sucks, or Animated Sucks.. etc.
What I can't even stand is G1-ers who act like how I described above. Transformers and their designs will eventually evolve. As Fans of Transformers, shouldn't your opinion at least evolve too?

I agree...that's what brought me back. Picked up a movie toy for nostalgic reasons and was quite impressed and got hooked. Got an Alternator and became obsessed! Too bad I missed that line when they were in stores at retail! And I'm totally with ya on Wheeljack...
On the flip side, I ended up getting a G1 Prime re-issue (along with a few others,) and while cool on the whole nostalgic front, I realized pretty quick why I outgrew them in my teen years. For me the simplistic, “unexciting” transformations make them just toys…which I can probably do without at my age. But the more complex lines are kinda like puzzles and are actually "fun" to me.

Huh, probably that the Animated toys don't come out till June. And when they are out, the only thing I'll complain about is that they charge me $10 for one instead of letting me have it free.
I'm a pretty happy guy when it comes to Transformers.

Re: Your biggest TF gripe?
Made this post in here earlier but I guess it never went through so here it goes again:
Now that I think about it, my main gripe with TFs is the price Hasbro charges the people in the UK. I paid $20 for my Classics Optimus Prime, my friends in England paid 20GBP for theirs. In case you don't know, 1GBP = $1.93 so they literally pay twice as much as we do here. I think it's unfair to our seibertronian brothers across the pond.

Some times I'm annoyed with repaints, some times I'm annoyed with the issue of scale.
But my biggest gripe is still Hasbro's decision to make those 3 Seekers exclusives.
I'm truly not trying to open up debate...
It just really is my "biggest gripe".

Your post is kind of contradicting itself. You say you don't like people who are stuck in one continuity and say all the other suck, but it is ok to say that and G1ers suck?

My biggest gripe is the lack of love that hasbro uk gives us. They didn't release over half of energon and classics astrotrain.

Twist-ties. I'm really sick of twist-ties. Especially on Legends class toys - many of them have five twist-ties holding in a two-inch toy.
Other than that, no complaints.

I loathe twisy ties. Especially on voyagers. Once you think you untied them all, there's tape holding the bubble in, and you have to take those out. I spent 1/2 an hour getting voyager thundercracker out.

Sniff, Sniff. Ouch, you can smell the burn on that one.

Seriously, the only gripe I have if you can even call it that is distribution. I know Hasbro has absolutely nada to do with product distribution amongst the retail stores. So I kind of get a little flustered

Collection Count: Just enough G1 & Classics to make this look good!
