Your thoughts on Predacons/Predaking coming to Season 3 of TF Prime?
I just got wind/heard the word at New York Comic Con 2012 that season 3 of Transformers Prime will have Shockwave returning and introducing the Predacons, Cybertron's version of Earth dinosaurs. I saw a teaser clip at a New York Comic Con panel that were discussing Transformers Prime on the show and the toy line, and they showed a teaser clip where Shockwave introduced to Megatron saying, "My lord here's the ultimate auotbot hunter" and then came this huge animal/beast creature transformer that looks real scary.
I also check thru various websites and I heard it'll be three animal mode predacons --- 1. a dragon 2. a lizard and 3. a Two headed dragon.
So, are you really excited that Predacons are coming to Transformers Prime?

In a way, I think we saw this coming with the introduction of the Insecticons to the Decepticon forces. After all, they do have beast modes...

For some strange reason I really want Jimmy Urine of "Mindless Self Indulgence" fame to play Rampage. I guess the voice matches that crazy con's demeanor.

Yes, I am.
We don't know if Shockwave is returning. That clip at NYCC could be a flashback following another Decepticon's curiosity concerning the origin of the Predacons. Notice Megatron's fusion cannon and the lack of Insecticons, let-alone Dreadwing.
For now, the only Predacon we know is coming to the Prime cartoon is Predaking. Hasbro said that not all Predacons in the toyline will make it into the show, but they're certainly trying to put all in-show characters into the toyline.
Also, it's been teased and rumored that we're getting a Prime Voyager Grimlock and a set of the other four Star Seekers. Wonder what that means.

It could be, but there are other factors to consider;
1) It's hard to tell from the quality of the clips whether or not Megatron has his fusion canon or the Prime arm, at least for me. Most of the time, he's either too far in the background or the arm in question is in shadow.
2) You can (somewhat) see Knock Out behind Starscream. If it were a flashback, one could reason that if Knock Out is there, so would Breakdown. While Breakdown's absence doesn't prove that this isn't a flashback, doesn't mean it doesn't occur in the present, either.
3) We don't know what happens to Dreadwing or the Insecticons, especially since we have three more episodes of the season to go. Besides, the Insecticons don't appear in ever scene of an episode; they were absent in "Hard Knocks" and only one appeared in "Inside Job," but played no real part. Just because they're not in the preview doesn't mean they're not still part of the Decepticon army.

1) He has it. Go full screen and you'll see it, if you look closely. You could at least spot the light from the barrel.
2) Yes, Knock Out is there.
3) As for Dreadwing? I'd think he'd attend such a meeting. If the events of the next episode leave Starscream out of the picture, we'll have even more reason to consider this a flashback.

Saw it. Could mean it's a flashback, could mean that he loses the Prime arm at season's end.

I believe he would too... unless he's either dead or gone over to the Autobots. Like you said, we'll just have to see what happens in "Patch" to know what happens.

As for Dreadwing, ever since he first came into the show, there have been a LOT of events that he should have been present for, but wasn't. By comparison, his absence here isn't that different.

Teased and Rumored, I said. Accounted for respectively.
You don't recall when folks said the Predacons are outnumbering the Star Seekers in the toyline? You mentioned it yourself.

Saying that there would be more Predacons than Star Seekers doesn't mean we're getting every Star Seeker. Plus, by the time the Pred toys come out, Thundertron will have already been released and there will be more Preds than him, so that could be possibly what they meant.
I certainly hope not as I do want more Star Seekers, but their words are a bit too vague to go on at this point. The best we can do is (those who saw the panel video will get this joke) stay tuned.

And he will have still already been out by the time the Preds are. There's nothing erroneous in my speaking in future terms in regards to the Predacons.PrymeStriker wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Plus, by the time the Pred toys come out, Thundertron will have already been released and there will be more Preds than him, so that could be possibly what they meant.

Thundertron has already been released.
My only dilemma is the fact that they cancel the RiD line before the Beast Hunters line is released. We only have one more figure, Skyquake, to be released. Hasbro saying that Kup and Rumble are the last figures of the RiD line makes me fearful for Skyquake's cancellation.
