IMHO, it would decrease the possibility. If you think about it, the main attraction for Devastator was that he was huge compared to the other TFs. I think on average, Optimus would measure roughly halfway up towards Devastator's knee....holding him would look like me holding a voyager-sized TF toy. If you have an aircraft carrier TF...it would be so rediculously huge, it would dwarf Devastator, thus defeating the purpose of him being a big-ass gestalt.

...unless it WAS Devastator, but that wouldn't be any fun. & we'd lose the chance for a constructicon gestalt.

& being an Autobot, that'd give the good guys the upper hand the whole time, which would be boring to watch. You almost always have to have the good guys getting pummeled untill just at the last second where a strange twist of fate saves them from certain doom, the tide gets turned, & the good prevails for the happy ending. The biggest, toughest robot on the good guys' side makes the fight too one-sided...unless he's used for cannon-fodder for Megatron to show his immense power or something.

But yeah, my vote is if it is in the next movie, it'll be Tidal Wave.

The way I see it, an aircraft carrier would be a perfect Metroplex. Like the former, it's big, grey, and is a vehicle of the same general shape and purpose-- basically a mobile city with a big runway. If you check Metro's rolling mode, the similarities are pretty noticeable.

As well, even though aircraft carriers are the base of a superior navy, they display the one major trait that is Autobot-- it doesn't fight the battles. Sure, it carries the fighter jets and bombers for the mission, but it's main task is simply just that-- help it's commrads in battle. Plus, if an aircraft carrier is used for Metropex, then that frees up his Decepticon counterpart to be near any hulking monstrocity the writers can imagine.

Nothing's as big as a aircraft carrier, and the Decepticon's mobile bases have usually been giant monsters. That means something will have to be invented. A giant mechanical sea serpent, a huge taranchula, or maybe a different creature altogether. Any ideas?

Hm, not too keen on a made up thing unless it's Cybertronian like Megatron's jet mode. Has to be an incredibly advanced warship, or a spacecraft.

Hey....Piranacon!!!! That'd be awsome. 5 giant sea creatures combining into an even bigger robot...possibly as big as this aircraft carrier. That'd be awsome!!


....but I dunno....I think I'd still like to see Tidal Wave.

Was megatron or blackout the biggest Decepticon in this movie? Because whoever is the biggest in the next movie either is a deus ex machina, or cannot be much bigger than Blackout/Megs.

if the carrier bot transformed into anything smaller then its alt mode that would be the first time ever that something like that took place with a transformer it has always been the the other way around....either way just going on an extreme guess lets say he does do a drastic size change and only turns into a bot that is 700ft tall and 1750ft wide...can you honestly see any 40ft bot on earth or in the known verse beating that thing...from what i know they get bigger and stronger as the size increases.

I believe Blackout was the tallest. If nothing else, that's what his toy bio says. Of course, that it his toy....

Devastator could be the biggest in the sequel

If there's a carrier 'former in the next one or two movies, considering I've never seen any of the original Transformers series (save Armada and I think a couple episodes of BW somewhere along the line), I'm definitely saying I want it to be Tidal Wave.

If there will be a carrier... It's gonna be several times bigger than a merged Devastator.

That will snuff out the star from Devastator's debut.

And Metroplex can't be the carrier because its a mall already... only that we don't know if its a Transformer or not.
