Evil_the_Nub wrote:IMO the biggest problem with the AVP movies is they have to have humans in it. They would be great on another planet where the aliens and predators are hunting each other. Maybe in a Documentary style with a narator. Ok cue March of the Predator jokes: now.

I just got this mental flash of a Steve-Irwin-like Predator wrestling Aliens.
"Aw Crikey, this one's a beaut, look at her teeth."
*Alien thrashes wildly in Predator's headlock*
"Ah, I better watch meself, she's one cranky girl, and if I'm not careful, she'll stab me with that tail of hers."
*Tail swings at Predator, who grabs and holds it.*
"Naughty girl! Now see, that's what I was talking about. The xenomorph primarily uses this razor sharp, powerfully muscled and surprisingly flexible tail for hunting its prey, but it wouldn't think twice about skewering the likes of me with it. But that's not the only thing you need to watch out for. These graceful but deadly queens of space, are also equipped with a nasty little surprise inside their mouth."
*Predator pries open Alien's hissing jaws.*
"Inside her jaws is a second pair with teeth just as razah' sharp. The secondary jaws are attached to a foot long proboscis that's launched from her mouth by pneumatic force. It's truly amazing how much damage they can do with such a seemingly useless adaptation. Why, I'd wager as many hunters have been killed by these nasty little teeth as by that long harpoon-like tail."

Dead Metal wrote:I blame movies like Saw and Hostel that just consist of splatter and disgust.

Gosford Park, Secret Lives of Dentists, Lost in Translation, and As Good as It Gets all managed two out of those three for me.

JaAm wrote:Thank you for reminding me to see that series. I finished watching Predators 1+2, (2 is better, since the predator gets straight into action rather than the slow buildup of the first) and now i want to see the alien trilogy. (I'm gonna take my friend's advice and pretend resurection didn't happen.)

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Yeah, the artist and I have the same feelings, though I did use his term.
The funny thing is, Parker, the guy in the strip happens to be a radio jockey here in FW, funny bastard.
