I'm rather surprised to see so much positivity towards a Club figure, particularly when most people were bashing on the individual bots.
Anyway, this does look pretty good. Good thing my parents are okay with splurging a little to get the Primus package.

This combined mode was well worth the wait, this thing looks so bad ass. I might have missed it but has the price been revealed for this set yet?

With the Brawl mold being used as an arm, it's IMPERITAVE that they make sure the waist is nice and tight or that arm will just flop around.
Looks nice though.

Is someone else getting a Nexus Prime vibe out of this?
Nope.

I believe it is just the Japanese release of those molds/that set.
So... maybe?
Nope.

A face like that belongs on a TMNT or MOTU action figure, not a robot. Funpub crossed the stupid line and took the term "beast wars" a little too literally in my opinion.
So it's just the face nothing else?
If it helps you could think of it as a spiky faceplate especially if you painted it blue.
But I don't think it's cartoony at all plus even if it is Transformers even in G1 was a very cheesy and cartoony show/comic so in my opinion of course it doesn't seem out of place or anything.
If I had money I would buy this set just for how cool of a concept this guy is to me.

So yeah, don't expect a 5.0, not from FunPub anyway. Don't know what this means for Nexus Prime since it would seem Hasbro actually owns those characters. 13 Primes fiction aside, we got that Hero Mashers Heatwave figure at retail which was a first for a club created character.

Don't hold your breath. I'm guessing whenever they said that about 5.0 was before everything started falling apart not even a month ago. We know for a fact now that ALL memberships expire in December no matter your start date and they haven't done any damage control on the rumors like they have in the past. Even when contacted directly they'll only give a standard response of whatever is on the website is accurate rather than denial. Plus there's those tweets from Pete Sinclair that seem to indicate this is the end.
I clearly haven't been keeping up with the news. What the heck happened to Funpub that's got people speculating like this? I get that this isn't necessarily the right thread, so just some points in the right direction would be nice.
For what it's worth, Predacus does look much better combined than I anticipated, as everyone else has said. I'm quite impressed.

What I don't get is why the atendee package is the same price as the non atendee? Looks like you get more with the atendee due to the convention related stuff.

Yes, for the price of the Primus package you get admission to the convention, free trips through the autograph line, the Friday and Saturday events/dinners, early access to the dealers' room, and a 6th attendees-only figure (see the brochure for the full list of benefits if I'm forgetting any here). If you remember the non-toy attendee package, which was around $195, that price tag is buried inside of the $399 for the Primus package.
That does raise questions about the Iacon pricing, however, to be fair to the convention attendees (these figures are meant to be exclusive to the convention, of course), everyone gets the same price tag. To make all the effort to come out to the show and then realize you could have stayed at home and gotten a "discount" might not sit well with attendees.

I can see the point of that. But on the other hand, surely the whole point of going to the convention is to 'Go to the convention'. To meet the guests, to hear the panels, to hang out with other fans and generally have a giant knees up, as oppossed to simply going to buy some toys, even if they are exclusives?
