This is truth! So many people went and saw those movies just because of her!
OH MY GOD!! I'm not a transformers fan!!!!

I want to argue that one...but I'm guilty of it. We had a big power outage last month, and when someone would explain it was because of a blown Transformer, it took all kinds of restraint not to shout out "Damn those Decepticons!"

Oh, and You might NOT be a true Transformers Fan if:
You hear someone talking about Leonard Nimoy and assume they are talking about Star Trek.
Shadowman wrote:In the defense of sanity, that's because they typically are. "They're talking about his major role in Star Trek, one of the two largest and most influential science-fiction franchises in the world" or "they're talking about his one-time stint as Galvatron, in a movie that is fairly obscure outside of out little niche" which do you think is the safer bet? (And before you go assuming things, the other franchise is Star Wars)
Bradimus wrote:Shadowman, right on both counts!Shadowman wrote:If it were funny, I'd have laughed. I watched the '86 movie. Doesn't mean I know him better as Galvatron than as Spock. That would actually fit better as "You might be an insane Transformers fan."froneyzone wrote:and second, yes, you are correct about Star Trek and Star Wars, but you just proved you have no since of humor either. This post is for Transformers fans...and if you are...you have watched or even at least HEARD about the original cartoon movie featuring Nimoy's voice among many others.
Froneyzone, although I know Nimoy voiced Galvatron in the movie I watched in the theater when I was a kid, my first thoughts of a conversation about him is Star Trek or Jewish heritage, in particular his work to educate about the Holocaust and honor the memories of those who were murdered.
I'm not seeing any humor in the bulk of your posts, sarcasm or otherwise. You can write what you want, but you should know your insults are annoying me to the point where I'm starting to think of you as "the boy who cried wolf!" You are taking yourself and Transformers way too seriously.

You don't take Transformers way too seriously (otherwise they are just toys and nothing more and you shouldn't even be on this site).![]()
You are crying in disappointment when you heard the news that Mr. Leonard Nimoy himself just might possibly be coming out of retirement not for Star Trek but for Transformers!"![]()
You are on this forum and you and/or your friends consider yourself a Trekkie!![]()
You have a Starship Enterprise that you modded to somehow Transform(because you refuse to believe Star Wars deserved the crossover!

So, what, you can't like both Star Trek and Transformers? Liking one immediately means you can't be a fan of the other? Way to be insulting to those of us who like both.froneyzone wrote:You're hoping and praying that all of this is an April Fool's joke -

He was in retirement? Didn't know that. Especially since, after announcing his retirement, he appeared in both Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep and two episodes of Fringe.
Just because we are members of a Transformers website does not mean that we all like the Transformers above all other interests. You act like, that because this is a Transformers site, that we have to hold it to the highest regard above all other fictions. Now, while there may be others on this site who do view the Transformers as their Numero Uno, that doesn't account for everyone. Why, I'd bet that there were some really die hard Trekkies on here who also happen to be Transfans. Or even fans of other series who also still like Star Trek above the Transformers. Yet, there's nothing wrong with that. You sound as though we're all supposed hail the Transformers as THE almighty media franchise here and can't have other interests held to the same or even a higher regard.froneyzone wrote:Hey guys - not saying you can't like both at all. This just happens to be a TRANSFORMERS website and it seems that you three have forgotten about that. It's either that or you guys are way more passionate about Star Trek than you are about Transformers. Now, if I had posted that stuff on a Star Trek forum, then yes, I can see how it would be offensive, but golly gee whiz Beav...get a life and have some fun...or go create your own website: Star Trek and Transformers - Oh how I love thee both equally.

As for me, no, I'm not that big of a Star Trek fan to say that I like as much or even more than the Transformers. Frankly, I'm pretty much less than a casual Star Trek fan (having seen only two full movies and just a handful of TNG episodes). But I am one of those who has at least one other interest that I hold to the exact same regard as the Transformers. Two even (Digimon and Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon). And yet I'm still as big a Transformers fan as I've always been (my Exodus Vs. project should spell that out in an obvious manner).
So, please, don't look down upon those who are fans of more than one series or those who are TF fans but don't view it as the most favorite series. Everyone has different tastes and interests, and each view should be respected.

Just because it's a Transformers website doesn't mean we can't have other interests, nor does it mean we can't express those interests.

"Sei" also means "star", "planet", "celestial object" etc. in Japanese. So, the full way of saying "Planet Cybertron" in Japanese would be "Seibātoronsei".godzillabot wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Except that the "Sei-" in Seinfeld is pronounced like "sigh", and the "Sei-" in Seibertron is pronounced "say" (think "Sabertron")godzillabot wrote:…you hear sei- and think of Seinfeld
Sorry my mistake, thanks for the correction Sabrblade
