Animated Megatron not a jet?

Don't know if you noticed it ore think the same way as I, but I don't think that animated Megatron is a Jet!
I think his alt-mode looks more like a big canon, ore a hovertank.
Bot mode with a bigass gun!
Image

The altmode I think it is a tank ore atleast a canon ore turret, I mean look at it realy good.
Image
The bot-mode gun is a gun in his alt-mode, and that what a few think are wings look more like a base to me, they don't look like they are made to fly.
What do you think?

Lump of plastic requiring too much imagination.

Sorry to be negative, but when this should be a captain of the line these cybertonian/alien/futuristic vehicle modes are disappointing to me.

Yeah, the alt mode looks liek a large lump of plastic, god knows what it is really suposed to be...

And WHY, with all these very cartoony faces, have they given Megatron a goddamn MOVIE face?!?

there are a lot of movie "features" as you have noticed.. so for megs they catered for it by giving him his G1 helmet and putting a movie like face in there. prime and bumblebee have the same thing..

Doesn't look like it if you look hard enough. Still... a telats his robot mode looks better than ol' Mega-porqupine. It looks alien so I imagine well see another Megatron figure in this line with a different altmode, eventually.

The alt mode looks upside down to me. The wings on the ends, have the hollow side up, so maybe this is a bad pic to tell what it is. Oh wait, it is a bad pic, but that's besides the point.

And I know that is is not the right place. but WHY did they give OP a mouth?!? I friggin' hate that, I don't care about it being hard to animate and to show emotion.

Oh well, that's why I like G1.

I think there is at most a coincidental resemblence to movie Prime and Bumbles, and thats only cuase they had a basis in the G1 head designs (or helmit desing in Bumble's case). Megatron (both in toy and carton from what Ive seen, is pretty much a cartoonified version of movie meg's head.

bumblebee never had a battlemask.. I really think that is the movie influence.. same as OP's sideways sliding mouthplate straight from movie -> animated.

Meg's has.. some kind of "feet" Like he is a hover cannon and the small feet give him some resemblance to Galvatron as a cannon..

Cartoon Bumbles never had a faceplate, but the toy did, as did the cartoon and toy versions of goldbug (his reformated self from the ned of G1). And those look a LOT more like animated bumble's face then the movie face does.

It's not a Prime like faceplate, it's the movie battlemask that slides from over the back of his head onto his face

Whatever Megs is supposed to be in Alt. Mode matters not to me. I just hope he gets a much better paint job than Leader Movie Megatron. That's all I ask for these animated figures, which to me look like crazy fun.

So looking forward to them. :D

My only real bumblebee was pretenders. .and then again that one didn't have the facemask.. I'm just talking about all the movie gimmicks they put in Animated.. including movie bumblebee's battlemask.

And besides.. Animated bumblebee has a mouth..

Animated Megatron looks to be another Hasbro figure that will only look good if he is painted well.
In other words, exactly like his movie Leader and Voyager class figures, both were very "meh" figures, but it is their paint schemes that makes them unattractive.

Im thinking Megatron will be a VTOL style Jet. Without the mass of seekers that G1/Beast Wars had, the Cons will need all the fliers they can get.

You're probably right, trunks, but I don't think we need to worry about Animated Megatron's paint job; I think he looks good. Maybe more red than what we are used to, but still nice overall.

Here you go. The pics are kinda small, but they are all I could find.

Im anxious to see what he will look like at the end of the serries. I think they said buy the end of the second season he will look completely different more g1 reminicent head and will be a gun. I like the jet anyway it looks so kick ass its just awsome and the robot mode looks like a good action figure. It is a vertical take off jet dont you read the pannel news people? This will probably be the bes megatron next to the later onn one wich we havent seen yet.I wana see his giant katana sword he is supposed to have.

Don't apologize.

That alt looks like ass.

Granted it may be a great toy eventually, but at least with most "futuristic" alts, you can tell what they are meant to be.

Is this a trilobite?

Yep. I read this as well. Megs will start off in his Cybertronian jet mode but by the end of season we will get to see him in his earth mode.
