robofreak wrote:I happened to really enjoy G Gundam. I'm a fan of the combat pilot suits. It seems like a much more logical way of piloting a gundam compared the cockpits of the other series. If I were to pilot a Gundam, I'd think having a MS that would respond to my body movements would be the best way to go if I needed to fight. Much more efficient than presing a tone of buttons and 2 joysticks.
That's the problem, that's a Super Robot type of control. The other series is "Real Robot," meaning the machines are more realistic. That's why the typical MS cockpit resembles that of a jet.
Gundam 00: Finale:-Ribbons superiority complex is rapidly growing; he not only takes credit for Setsuna becoming an Innovator, he also claims to be God. I think he's also going to claim he invented sliced bread, the electric guitar, and sex.
-Ribbons MS is the Reborn Cannon. It's not, by the way, as big as it looked at first. It's got Twin Drive and...it turns into a Gundam? Wait, what? I mean, I've seen Gundams transform before, they've been trying it on and off since Zeta, but this Gundam just turns into another MS. That's like Optimus Prime turning into a better but otherwise only slightly different version of Optimus Prime.
-Healing Care and Revive Revival come to help Ribbons, despite Ribbons completely trouncing Setsuna. Jerks.
-Allelujah and Lockon come to help out, and Allelujah teams up with Hallelujah in the same way he did at the end of season 1.
-While Lockon has some trouble fighting Revive, Hallelujah rips Healing's unit apart with the Arios's bare hands. Hallelujah is just like that. And then he kills her. Ribbons takes out Arios with Fangs as retaliation.
-The Ptolemy places a smoke screen to help out Setsuna, which works quite nicely.
-Lockon uses Trans-Am for the one-second he has of it, to dodge a single beam saber slice from Revive...and then jamming his beam pistol into Revive's MS, and firing continuously.
-Setsuna uses Trans-Am at the same time as Ribbons, and slices Ribbin's Gundam up. Ribbons, however, takes the 00 Raiser's arm...which you may recall has the 0 Gundam's GN Drive's on it. Really he wants the GN Drive more, the arm just happens to be there.
-Since Ribbon's Gundam is trashed, he put it in the most convenient place possible: The 0 Gundam. (Ribbons using the 0 Gundam is supposed to be somewhat of a joke; Ribbons has the same seiyu as Amuro Ray) However, when he returns to the 00, he find's Setsuna's gone, along with Exia's GN Drive. As it turns out, Exia has been rebuilt. Alright, time for some awesome outdated MS vs. More outdated MS action!
-The fight is set to a monologue from Marina...That's cool, I can ignore that.
-Man, 0 Gundam is the RX-78-2 to the core; they both have the same movements, and even that weird way their arms bend in a way their arms should not be able to bend. And another similarity: They get blown up.
-Marina gives a speech, and I use that term lightly; she says two lines and everyone begins applauding.
-Saji notices that Louise's cellular degradation (Caused by the Throne's Fake GN Particles) has stopped.
-The new Federation president in inaugurated, with Kataron members in the audience. (And someone who looks ASTOUNDINGLY like Anew Returner) A-LAWS have been disbanded, the Feddie Military will be restructured, and assistance will be given to non-Federation Members.
-Mannequin reports that as long as Celestial Being refuses to disarm, they're a threat. Then she gets married to...Patrick?! HA! I knew that bastard survived!
-Lockon continues to work with CB even if the world hates him for it. Allelujah and Marie leave to go find out about their own existence. Tieria, as part of Veda, watches over humanity. Setsuna and CB head out for Jupiter.
-Okay, I love this: The song playing during the final minutes...is the first opening for Season 1. Fantastic.
-Post Credits: A shot of four spheres of light orbiting Jupiter with one inside, and the words: The Beginning of Humanity Ends. Yep, a Gudnam 00 movie, coming 2010...considering it never showed if Ribbons died or not...

Yhea.... I'm not a huge Outlaw Star fan, but it's a good show. That said anyone who has only watched the "edited" version from CN and enjoyed it, deserves to rewatch it properly.
I watched an unedited but still dubbed version...never finished it though. I should probably go back and finish that, seeing as how there's no more Gundam for now.
Speaking of no more Gundam for now, I should look up what the next series is going to be...
Oh, wait...Looks like we're going to spend a little more time in the Universal Century...
