after a lil formers comic featuring to one opticed, one handed logistics laser, I was currious about how his character may have been developed.

Does Shockwave have any personality or taken actions similar to a classical Pirate?

none that I can think of.

Now I really regret not buying that second Alternators Shockwave. He'd have looked awesome with a pirate paintjob.

I wish he was a pirate. He'd be great sailing the high seas on Tidal Wave, plundering places for Energon, Buzzsaw sitting on his shoulder.

Now that's ironic, coz in Japan TidalWave was Shockwave. lol.

I'll vote no. I can't see Shockwave being too good out at Sea.

If anything, Soundwave is an imperial captain. Why? Because he's a bad guy with an english accent, and everyone knows that in all future scenarios, the British are evil and rule space.

I thought he didnt exactly have an accent at all?

Nope, Soundwave's accent was definitely Statesian. He may have typoed and been referring to Shockwave (who was closer, and who we were actually talking about), but he doesn't really have an English accent either; more a sort of blending of the two.

I still think Shockwave and Soundwave should've swapped voices, it would've suited their characters so much more.

Something had to keep Cybertron alive for all those millions of years before Megatron started sending energy home. He and his faithful drone crew could have taken a small ship and plundered nearby cruisers and planets for energon.

I seriously have no clue where the idea of Shockwave being a pirate came from. He didn't lose an eye. He's a cyclops. He only HAS one eye.
