I just bit the bullet and bought the Construct Bot Shockwave, Smokescreen, and Dragstrip from Hasbro Toy Shop since I never saw them even once at retail. The fact that the CB pegs are now being loaded with AOE models convinced me that if I didn't act now I would miss out on those three.
If this is the case for the last 3 G-1 based sets, what does this say about the Beast Hunters ones that were due to come out, like Skystalker, Bulkhead, and Beast Armor Bumblebee? Will those sets ever hit retail, or have they been cancelled out in favor of the AOE CB line?
