The only one I can think of is generations Brainstorm. Is there anyone else? Propably but i am drawing a blank at the moment, hence why I am asking.

Do Takara versions count? If so, both of the above have been redecoed.

Trypticon and Predaking excluding Titans and Takara versions then at the moment punch/Counterpunch, Roadtrap, Battleslash, potp Grimlock. If we're counting wfc figures too then currently flak, stakeout, smashdown, Optimus, Springer and Jetfire. (I'm only listing ones that have been released and excluding reflector and the weaponizers due to the rumors)

Haha, yes the titans of course.

Oddly, TR Scourge and Roddy never got repainted either. Given how TR gave us esoteric repaints like Quake and Krok, it’s surprising that they didn’t find SOMETHING to repaint those guys into.

While scourge wasn't repainted at all he was remolded to make highbrow and Windblade. Hot rod was retooled for the Takara release and was repainted into Ken in the street fighter crossover.

Yeah, you missed some titans and Punch/Counterpunch but aside from that I think its good. Forgot about Lugnut. Care to share unique molds from other lines?

And when it comes to takara versions, I have a tough time calling them repaints since that means Hasbro is the primary version. But at the same time, there are many times when Takara will only release a mold as a different character than the one Hasbro used it for (like the nemesis primes). That feels like a repaint but its no different than just considering it Takara's release.

Hasbro <-> TakaraTomy counterparts are redecos by definition, so I don't usually count them either. I would make mention if the changes are major like with 2010 Lugnut vs. United Lugnut, but other than that they don't increase the tally. It's all personal preference, really.

As for G1, the only unique molds would be season 3 and on since the first 2 seasons are not even unique to the Transformers line (for the most part).

A good chunk, but by no means a majority. It's mostly the Transmetals that were reused, and Beast Machines saw some use there too. I'll make a tally of that as well and to see if I'm wrong on that.

As for G1, the only unique molds would be season 3 and on since the first 2 seasons are not even unique to the Transformers line (for the most part).

In fact, it was pretty much devoid of redecos between the Headmaster and Micromaster ages.

Regarding Sonar, I was puzzled for a bit but then I realized I was confusing him for that other transmetal 2 basic bot that looks like a flying squirrel. Man, I wish I could find that 3 pack for a good price.

Can't speak for Windbag, but Highbrow is more of the "uses a few of the same parts & engineering" situation than a simple remold of Scourge. Granted some of those shared parts allowed me to swap the upper legs and get a more g1 toy accurate Scourge, so I'm not complaining.

TR Highbrow is iffy, but he's one of the few that didn't get redecoed for any market... BotCon 2017 would have used him for Skyfall and possibly Turbo Master.
