Good to hear that the merger is still in the works. Figured that it was jsut a matter of you being busy with Botcon and everything. I can't wait to be able to start posting galleries and all again. I've got four or five sitting on my computer ready to go, and at least three more customs that are ready to be photographed.

Probably re do some of my older ones as well since I've gotten better at the photography aspect of it all.

What if you were to put all Seibertron.com's kitbash discussion in here, and link that part of your forum directly to Transtopia? It would mean this site would still exist, and you still have a kitbash area on your site.

I'm fairly sure he wants to merge them if for not other reason then because two forums with two databases on a single server is a resource drain. And if the two are linking back and forth it makes more sense to combine them. Transtopia isn't going to die or anything. From what I understand we'll be merged with Seibertron and under its umbrella, but the galleries, the kitbash forums, and basically the guts of what makes Transtopia what it is will still be controlled by the admins and mods we currently have but with better support for the backend through Ryan and his system.

Not quite - I think we (Transtopia) are basically going to be the creative arm of Seibertron, sort of like Demiurgic City was, only better developed.

Well demiurgic city was never anything more then a store house, and very few people even used it for that. However if I understood right the original proposal was create a separate section in the forum for all kitbash/Transtopia related stuff. Then of course the gallery section for fan art and kitbashes, and the mods from here would be charge of it. We will be a part of Seibertron, but much like the Heavy Metal War is part of seibertron but at the same time a separate section of the site with its own forum section.

We can either do this rushed with errors or we can do this the right way with as little hiccups as possible along the way. I don't post on these forums so unless someone brings one of these threads to my attention, I'm not going to see your comments, hence the delay.

If working on Seibertron was all I did in life and didn't have a 9 to 5 job, then this project would've been completed a long time ago.

I don't have to defend why things are the way they are. I have owned Transtopia since last October. It's part of the Seibertron family of websites. I am going to proceed forth with the requests and plans laid out according to TFmaster earlier this year and late last year. If you have a problem with that, then I don't know what to tell you. I would hope that you would work with all of us and make sure that you do your part to ensure that the Transtopia community lives on AND thrives at Seibertron.com. Arguing with me about this or being a jerk to me isn't going to help that process at all.

Yeah, come on, Rod. Give the guy a break. We all wanted this to go quicker than it has (including Ryan, I imagine), but it's a pretty big task he's undertaking here, and it's not the only thing he's gotta devote his time to. He's also upgrading the whole thing to a new version of phpBB, if I remember correctly, and setting up a new gallery system too.

I thought I was going easy. I blame it on my heritage. I'm a Missourian. You have to Show Me. Transtopia serves as my muse for Transformer creations. I do other artwork other than tformers, but it's the same thing, if I lose my muse I don't complete. Having unfinished artwork laying all over the place is frustrating. Having completed stuff that has no proper gallery on my muse sight is depressing. Art, especially Transformer art soothes me. We all need some way to unwind after getting it from the man 40+ hours a week and mine is customs and such. I've been patiently waiting for a long time, and I still haven't destroyed anything, yet.
I know what Seibertron did taking over. I appreciate having a place to chat and display. I just never imagined it would take more than a couple months.
I'm not upset with Ryan and nothing is personal, but I do enjoy stirring the pot a bit. I'll try not to start a btch fight by over-zealously stating my opinion.
After all I am Rodimus Prime. I'm supposed to be trigger happy.

who know? primes in g1 tended to be a little dim("be careful,this meteorite may be dangerous"then proceeds to shoot off a piece for examination)

Minus all of the complaining in that series, it's one of my all-time favorite TF series because of how dark the whole series is.

yeah, the vehicons were a fanboys dream, and the setting should of been wetpants worthy bay no-humanists. the maximals werew a bit wacky but not bad. ( what happens when the organic rots i wonder?), and primal was downright loopy, but once you proportion series to the same level, bm is above average.

The craziness of the Maximals just made me feel more sympathy for Megatron and his cause. It was an interesting series because, for once, you almost wanted to side with Megatron instead of Optimus.
