Okay went around shopping during lunch today.
Got me Beast Machines on DVD, Season 1 disc 1 and 2 for $13 each from JBHIFI in Chatswood.

Also had a looksies around Kmart and TRU in Chatswood, and they only have Wave 1 of everything, not a Voyager Ironhide or Starscream, any Robot Heroes Wave 2, or Laserbeaks in sight.

Quite annoyed.

Target Tea tree plaza was almost out of Deluxes, only a few wave ones and a but load of Protos.

Couldn't find any wave 2 Robot Heroes, I picked up Swindle & Bonecrusher (so tiny...) and the Mirage & Screamer Robot Heroes pack.

Plenty of Wave 2 Voyagers, All the FAB's released thus far, and both waves of Deluxes at Blacktown Kmart. They had at least 12 of each Blackout and Ratchet and 6 of Starscream and Ironhide in their seasonal section. Only had the Legends class figures in the actual toy section.

Target Blacktown had 9 Robovision Prime's, about 3 each of the S7 figures and 3 of the Transformers computer thingies.

Myer Blacktown had diddly squat, about 3 Leader Primes with about 4 of each of Wave 1 of the real gear robots, mixed in with Classics 2 packs.

Also got me 2 tickets to see Transformers at 6.30pm at Blacktown on the huge screen on Thursday night!

Myer Penrith is apparently as bare as Blacktown. It isnt bad except that they are flogging off the Real Gears for only $9 (the price they should be everyday IMO)

Plumpton Big W however did have Wave 2 of the Real Gears for $15 each. Also had 6 Cybertron Metroplex's for $44.83.

Forgot to mention this:

In Plumpton Big W I found some KO Transformers, not the el cheapo $10 gestalt ones, these ones are Atlernator Rip offs.

I found them on an endcap in the Computer Accessories section, facing the DVD section, there were (at least) 5 designs:
A Hummer, A Range Rover, 2 sports cars and a Rally Car. They are not mold copies of previously existing alternators/binaltechs, but new figures, that were available on ebay about a year ago.

They are 1:32 scales, and I cannot remember their actual name as I only quickly rushed past them. They were $30.

Also the Big W Toy Sale will start on July 4th, Transformers items will be for sale, so keep your eyes peeled.

I think what you're referring to are the Roadbots
Very surprising to see them down here
I've heard they're quite good, especially for kitbashing.

Yup. Im seeing it with a mass congregation of friends and friends of friends on Saturday night, and decided that I should see it beforehand to spare them all my whinging.
I've decided to give the movie a fair go, a fresh slate on which to impress me if you will. Ill base my judgements of it as a movie first and foremost, and as a Transformers movie afterwards.

Fangwolf, what session are you seeing? only the 6.30 and 9.30 sessions are on the huge screen, the others will be on the other smaller screen (possibly Cinema 6). 6.30 is as early as I can get to the cinema (I hate working in Artarmon). Ill be there in my home made Soundwave Tshirt! Im assuming that you are not seeing it at Blacktown Sheo, seeing as its a fair whack out of the way for you.

You know, just admitting you were hasty in your judgements and that you've already changed your mind won't hurt.

Oh sure we'll hold it against you and never let you live it down but hey, at least you'll get that hate monkey off your back and can join the rest of us "real" fans. :P

Okay Burn, saw the film, still have my issues with it, most are trivial things, and others are from the writing and from the animation.

A bloody good film otherwise, rewrite the final 10 minutes/bring out the extended edition, and I would have given it a perfect score, but the final 10 or so minutes just really detracted from the film for me.

Kmart Blacktown waited for the Tf sale to finish before releasing wave 2 of the real gear robots. My gf managed to grab me Real Gear Zoom out (video camera), Longview and Laserbeak (dont care about his "real name", he is Laserbeak.) to complete my real gear collection.

Im glad the stores were shut when we came out of the movie or she would have bought everything Bumblebee she could find.

I still haven't seen Scout Elita 1 and Armourhide at my local stores. What gets me most is that 08 Bumblebee isn't here either, which means the 2nd Wave is definitly not here yet.

Big W penrith had the Cullen helmets and Leader Megatron.

Sales for both Kmart and Big W start tomorrow morning, Big W is cheaper across the board, but Kmart has the Decepticon Sneak Attack 5 pack of Heroes figures for $16.95.

Who wants to bet that new waves of figures will only be available once these sales finish? Target's Toy Sale starts on the 19th of july, so perhaps they will have the newer figures by then...
