I free-hand carved this last night while using the tiny Autobot symbol on a deluxe Arcee box as a guide. I think it came out alright. The photo is a bit blurry because I had to use a really long exposure time to be able to see it in the dark.
Unfortunately, by the time I finished and put it outside it was about 9pm and no more trick or treaters came by my house to appreciate it!

I just made into my Avatar also.

Never carved a pumpkin before, but would I be right in assuming that it is not the best medium to work with?

My girlfriend says thanks for the comments on her Decepticon Pumpkin. She's planning on joining Seibs pretty soon, except they seem to be taking their time with the verification email, apparently :S

I made a con pumpkin, 36 pounds of one. No pics though.
I did get a few commens on it as well. GOOD ones, amazingly.

More like I didn't check my Junk folder because I'm lame like that :-(

ANYWAY thank you for the comments ^^ My picture does not demonstrate exactly how small that pumpkin was. Sainsbury's Value like hell. It was so hard to carve, especially freehand, which is why it's not entirely symmetrical and why there are two random triangles cut out from the bottom (I made a few mistakes..)

But I did my best. Had I had more time, and another pumpkin, I would have done an Autobot one as well =)

But also, hardly anyone came by to appreciate my artwork =(
I was sad.
