Sorry to hear that. I sure hope the pain ends soon. The discomfort as well.

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

Everything has come back pretty good, and he is suspecting that it is small fiber neuropathy. A third of the time, the cause for neuropathy is never found. So he gave me some stronger pain meds for my awful headache and some medicine to calm down the nerves. As long as it takes away the symptoms, I am fine not knowing the cause. He's an excellent doctor, though, as he's been extremely thorough. Oh, and get this--the neuro that did the spinal tap used a needle larger than was necessary so the procedure would go by faster (he was on call), knowing full well that young women are more prone to terrible headaches (bad enough to cause vomiting just by sitting). He did it to save time at my expense! Oh well, at least it is nearly over.

Twice.

Never rains but it pours.
What did they have you on?

Neko wrote:Girl, you are one brave SOB. If a doctor came at me with a needle that big I'd say screw it and run off. I hate needles. I've only gotten blood taken once and it sucked! I cringed the entire time! The doctor thought it was some funny sh*t though...
God, I'm such a wuss.

Once?
I've had it one time each with each pregnancy, once at my Army hospital for this crap, once after having first baby, I've had an epidural, I had my blood drawn twice when I had this hospital stay, the spinal tap, four IVs, plus an extra attempt when the nurse busted that vein (and the needle she used looked about the size of the one that went in my back. I finally lost it about then. Completely).
This is nothing new to me. I still hate it each and every time, but you can almost say I'm used to it. To all the needle junkies of the world, WTF?? It hurts!! My poor ass is only 23 and I've had enough needles for a lifetime!
Moonbase2 wrote:Those dentist shots are pretty unpleasant. I had them last year when I had a crown put on. I've had my fair share of dentist needles. Yuck. Still prefer them to having blood drawn though, for some reason. Ooh, I hate dentists and doctors. *shudder*
