Are you referring to the God like character in the new Beast Wars comic book???????/

Second! It was nice of hasbro to acknowledge the previous series. If I didn't see those G1 references... i'd of probably never watched it.
(Oh and... yeah Beast Wars is the best Transformers series!)

hmm, maybe the reference is to the making of Ravage, or Protoform X.

As you may or may not know, it was never intended to continue from G1, and the writers knew very very little about transformers when they started the series.
It wasnt until late in the season when they were a bit in tuned with G1 stuff, and decided they could do tie ins.
It didn't have anything to do with hasbro either. With beast wars, the writers had almost 100% creative control over the story, with the exception of bringing in characters, and killing them off.
p.s Beast Wars is the best TF'ers series to date. By far!

Chalk one up to writters with creative control.Ddave wrote:Wodicus wrote:I always thought Beast Wars being a continuation of the G1 story line to be a bad idea.

I understood it a little different. The guys that piched the idea of a beast Wars cartoon wanted it to be conected to G1 even thou they didnt know much about it.The first treatment had it a a continuation of G1 with Primal being a new body for G1 Prime.Hasbro head honchoes rejected the idea cause they were hoping that the Machine Wars toyline would also get a show and wanted that one tied to G1 so they told the writters of BW to make it a new start with no connection to G1.But the writters left the back door open [so to speek] on the topic of G1.

I don't remember about who pitched the idea, all I know is about the writers. Bob and Larry. I have the Madman DVD's, and they are really in-depth about all this kind of thing. Things like talking about the great war was just a great coincidence, and having the two moons and then destroying one making it earth, the same thing. The writers didn't turn the planet into earth until well into season one.
If you don't have these DVD's, pick them up. They are fantastic.

Answer, no clue, they never went into specifics as to exactly who came up with and approved the plan. They were clearly cruising for a slap, though - surely they'd read 'Frankenstein'?

Give the mech a tin can and two diodes you get a fussion reactor; give him a quantum replicator and a blue seeker's boot...

Wheeljack died before they ever knew Starscream was a Highlander...I mean immortal.

I beleive hes some kind of God like character who is a hearld for Unicron but is planing on steeling the energy the Unicron needs to re-create him self. But not much has been said about his role in the book yet.

Hell, he could even be Unicron himself, in either a role similar to Sideways in Armada, where he is but a watered down version of himself, or the Tank Unicron figure in the Cybertron series, slowly regathering Energy in smaller forms before he can re-transfer himself into his planetoid body...

Bom-chicka-wow-wow!
I think that is Antagony's role though...
