I don't have a G1 Megatron, either.

I would choose either Energon or Classics.

MINICONS!?!?!?!? Burn them!

WSTF Megs is pretty nice too, though a tad floopy. I have two, one I got for his own right, the other is gonna have his trigger cut out so Unicron can fit his finger in the hole.

Yes, thats right. I bought a second wstf megatron specifically for Unicron.

Hah, great idea! I might have to follow suit. Then again, I have 3 of the MEgs pistols that came with MP prime. I could put those to good use. One is with Starsream, the others are not in use atm.

Lets get this thread back on track. But first for all thoughs who do not have a Gen 1 meg. You have to get one asap no excuses ge is still one of the best megs out there, and to help please see this thread.

As for who is the best toy megs, as MP cannot count it has to be 10 inch Gen 2 megs. The Character of Gen 1 Megs with the large robot and tank toy. The only let down is the purple and green colours.

Armada Megatron.

He's big, bad, imposing, and above all, he's the characterization of Megatron that most truely depicts the motto, "Peace through tyranny".

Seeing this version of Megatron battle and eventually savagely strike down G1 Galvatron in the DW comics has permenently fixed him as one of, if not the best Megatron.

His toy is full of detail and fun features as well. And technically, I think he's the first Megatron to have a combiner mode.

Two nights in a row now I've had dreams about owning a broken version of the G1 Megatron toy, yet I don't own any version of said toy. Is this my subconscious telling me to make a purchase?

I'm still working on getting the Energon Megatron figure, though I'd prefer the Galvatron paint job. Of what I have now, I guess Classics is my favourite. He's got a good balanced between majestic and menacing.

I don't see myself ever owning a G1 Megatron because frankly, I think the toy is garbage.

of a story right there.
Since we are not allowed to include Mp Megatron and since I believe we are talking toys then in my opinion the best Megatron is Classic Megatron {once you remove the orange caps from his scope and barrel.} His gun wings have actually grown on me they give him a more majestic appearance as well as adds to his malvolency. Close second the titatanium war with in Megatron followed by the energon Megatron.

How did you remove the orange cap from the classics megatron?

I wish I had a G1 and Masterpiece, :-( seeing as how the "gun" megatron will alwyas be my favorite transformer toy/character.

I would really love to get my hands on the purple "galvatron general" that takara realeased overseas for the super link series, I think it makes a great G1 galvatron homage. (Yes I am one of those annoying G1 purists.)

Out of the ones I do have, I think I must go with classics for my favorite. (The gun version.)

I always hated tank and beast megatrons and alla that crap.

I'm really interested to see how the revoltech megatron will play out as well, even though it may not count to some of you seeing as how it is non-transformable.

Yes the caps are removable. I took a pair of pliars and pulled on the orange caps untill they just popped off they are removable. It takes a some pulling but seriously they do come off. I am not sure how to send a picture to Seibertron toy forum or I would.

Hmmm. I think I may hold off until I can find some pictures of this modification. I am sure someone will come up with them eventually. I may try this on the custom I am planning.
I plan to make a G1 megatron custom out of the classics body.

classics meg...

I had no idea that his likeliness to a nerfgun was
INTENTIONAL!!!

now I know why.

Plus he has minicon ports and pegs on those ridiculuous
wings which I thought were so useless.

his face is not bad.

Classic Megatron Modification

Postby Galaxion » Fri Apr 13, 2007 11:15 pm

Hi this picture proves that the orange caps can be removed from Classic Megatron. Like I said this is my own modification of Classic Megatron and in my opinion it improves his look greatly once the orange caps are removed so if you like it let me know.
