Going on what I've read so far, the only dead person resisting this is Dove, at least so far. I wonder if they'll figure that out and use whatever force it is to stop the rings?

Superman was hella bad-ass. I loved the Superman Emotional Spectrum in that one bit of art.

Also a theory, is that a black ring can only gain power if the wearer kills someone that is feeling the same emotion that they were feeling when they died, if that makes any sense.

OMG, I just read the Titans 1 and the newest Green Lantern and both were great for different reasons. I wonder what planet it is that was brought back in Green Lantern. If whole planets can be brought back by the black rings what else is possible and what other surprises are around the corner?

It was before I started reading Green Lantern, but there was a planet that John Stewart was trying to save, and hadn't been so arrogant and asked for backup, he could've saved it. But he was arrogant, so the planet exploded.

Guess the energies of all the black rings re-made it.

Wow, that makes the Black Rings even scarier.

I keep feeling like this is DC's answer to Marvel Zombies, albeit the story is much better, and not just a bunch of blood gushing mayhem.

I also am finding out just how lacking I am in my knowledge about the DCU. SO many different things having to do with deaths, and reincarnation, characters who I am not very familiar with coming back as zombies, and I don't know why this is an implication for the DC universe, etc...

But still, with the power of these rings, I just am not sure what or who will be able to stop them, but I too enjoyed the color spectrum being viewed on the characters, and how Superman was all of them... I guess I did not put the emotion together with the person as to what they were feeling when they died.

Indigo Lanterns, didn't I read that their power is based on granting desire, or something like that? Could they be the key to stopping the black lanterns? Scar gets her wish that she/he was never excluded or something? See I told you I am limited.

Is this going to re-write the whole DCU... again?

I'm worried that there's going to be a simple "snap of the fingers" moment and everything's going to be made better. I'm really hoping this isn't an excuse to mass-regenerate a lot of characters. I hope that after this is all over, the dead that rose will still be dead.

Indigo is compassion, but we dont really know how that'll all play out yet, could be the key, although I'm willing to bet that Hal Jordan will swoop in and save the day. I'm just hoping it's not as cheesy as "The White Lantern" idea I've heard.

A yes. Compassion, sounds familiar now that you say it.

White Lantern... so he will be all of them, which I guess makes sense.

Oh I have no doubt that Hal will harness the power for all the rings (probably even Black) and save the day.

And i'll wait to see how BL finishes before comparing it to Marvel Zombies. On the plus side, once BL is done it'll stay done and won't be constantly resurrected in a half-arsed fashion attempting to cash in on a original idea that should have stayed as a one-off.
Still better than Marvel Apes at least.

We were given a VERY brief snippet in the first Tales of the Corps special. In it, the Indigo tribe pretty much just bounced back whatever ring energy was attacking it, and that energy defeated the attacker.

I am willing to bet a number of charaters are coming back some how after this is over with. I bet some how they will bring back Aqua Man and the Martian Man Hunter at least with this story arc or another soon.

So with so many having already come back, think we'll get to see the original Question?
(Nothing against Renee, but everybody who's dead seems to be getting dragged out of the dirt, no reason why Charlie wouldn't as well)

ON the plus side it looks llike the 2nd half solicitations are slowly being announced. Come November we can see:
Adventure Comics - Looks like Superboy Prime's coming back
Booster Gold
Doom Patrol - Don't know much about these guys, looks like I gotta do some research.
JLA
Outsiders
Superman/Batman
And more Teen Titans - From what I've read about the past series, these guys have a fairly high mortality rate, so there's probably quite a few dead titans coming back.

I don't like him much either. Maybe the blackest night will finish him off.

Well the scare factor is quickly wearing off.

BN:Batman doesn't seem to be really going anywhere after two issues, and with only one issue remaining it'll either be anti-climatic or left open to continue in other books.

Green Lantern Corps however was better. Still just a war at the moment and while it didn't really further the story much it at least showed us how bad things are and how tough it's going to be.

Though the whole resurrecting everyone seems a bit boring. Unless they expect us to believe that the rings will only seek out deceased family members of those in the super hero community all across the galaxy.

Either that or they do resurrect every dead person which seems even sillier as the dead will greatly outnumber the living and we'll end up with Marvel Zombies all over again.

My theory is that, at least on Earth, Black Hand is using Bruce Wayne's head (and thus it's knowledge) to dispatch the rings to raise people, hence why they went for the Robins' parents.

Let's face it, no one knows more about the heroes and villians on Earth than Bruce did.

Skar is possibly directing rings to the various homeworlds of Lantern Corps So far we've seen them at Blue, Green, Orange, Red and Yellow home planets; all of which were known locations by the guardians. At least for now Mongul's corps has been unaffected, or we just haven't seen their side of the story yet.

Yeah, fear factor seems to be waning as the stories progress, but I expected that as we start coming to terms with what the rings can do.

Ok, the Batman issue was just a waste to me the added nothing but showing the blacklanterns are unstopable so far. But this week's issue of Green Lantern corp was good. I enjoyed the part with Kyle the most and the show down with the Alpha Lanterns.

That's an interesting twist (sort of), I almost thought he might have been used as sort of an anti-black lantern, but I suppose one might have to go the obvious route here.

After all with a miniseries and all, and the way his character is origined, you would imagine he would play some big part in all this.

Yeah I thought the mini series was building him up to maybe be a antihero or something.
