Maybe you should put your efforts towards making millions, if you aren't already.

Of course, if that's not fun, you can always keep doing this, 'cause I appreciate it.

I concur.

Doctor.

Doctor.

I concur as well.

The idea of a major convention serving up what are essentially inferior toys in comparison to what past BotCons have given is just crazy. Not only would I likely not make my way out to the convention for those esxclusives, I probably wouldn't order them either.

Well if they want to do something similar to the Botcon where they released G2 Wildrider, I'm all for that...it's smaller, but quite a cool exclusive.

They did use a spychanger as one of the very first Botcon exclusives. Nightscream or something, and it was the first female TF toy, supposedly.

true... while im still at this... bonger, pass it on to the left, pass the swisha :P

Happily unemployed while it's off season in the European horticulture trade. I'll probably find something tedious to do over Christmas and then it's back to the nurseries in February and my own little crew of boxing monkeys to bully for the Spring season, month off June/July time, back for Autumn and then back to Winter unemployment. It's a simple life and it makes me happy. Who needs millions? Once I'd bought all the TFs that I could possibly want where would be the thrill of the chase then?

Yes, but if you could make the world better whilst earning your millions, well, you deserve it, and so do we! :P

Sounds like a nice laid back type of job. I need one of those.

That would probably cause less fuss among the community than as Botcon pieces. a lot of folks take more of a 'meh' approach to the club exclusives. Of course there are still some moans about those from time to time.

Lord no.

I don't make enough spam over there to get noticed.

Apparently I'm mean to Transformers as well. :?

(All I did was say that Transformers Legends were crappy. Of all the hate that goes on in the TF world and I get called out for calling TFs with inferior plastic 'crappy'.)

I'm liking him a lot. The bit that I'm liking best is that he only set me back £40 shipped, and that was with Energon Slugslinger thrown in as a bonus. Best bargain I've had from ebay in ages.

No, I still prefer the bigger Transformers.
Those that actually stand a chance of not being entirely dwarved and made insignificant by the amounts of books they would have to stand in front off. Those that have a transformation involving more than five steps.

But that my just be me, who now grades every toy against the Masterpiece Prime scale, so many toys are simply found wanting.

Personally I wouldn't want them at all, but at least as TF CC exclusives I wouldn't have to get them in order to go to Botcon, and I could always look at the $40+ price tag and smile knowing that it wouldn't be my $40+ going for them.
With all the high praise Botcon 07 has gotten and the awesomeness of the 07 boxset figures, I question why or if Hasbro would allow such a huge backwards leap in exclusive quality and desirability. As it stands if the 08 set has movie figures in it, it might be a tough sell to a lot of us around here who have been around longer than the movie hype of the summer. Unless that custom Blades that guy did from movie Blackout were availabe, I woulnd't be even slightly interested in a set of exclusive figures done from movie molds. For the 07 set we knew almost instantly that the rest of the Seekers were going to be it, as soon as it was announced they were going to use Classics molds.

At least as TFCC figures you can choose to pass on them.

It's definately not going to be movie line toys for next year's Botcon exclusives. The FunPub licensing deal is with Hasbro and the licensing situation with the movie gets messy when Paramount comes into the picture. Animated or premovie lines is where the base toys for next year's repaints are going to have to come from.

What would you say if I said the ODB were going to attack yer thread?

You wouldn't set Punch on me would you? :P

I expect next years botcon exclusives will be animated repaints.
Classics 2.0 won't be out, so no abusing those moulds, and the Classics 1.0 are already beld dry.

Unless they did anime accurate Astrotrain...but that's all I can think of atm.

I wouldn't mind them being exclusives.

Unless they combined. Then I'd wail all over again :P

After seeing some of the scrapped larger figures on the Hasbro tour, such as the Defensor redeco of RiD Prime...

hell no. Bring on a leader figure.

Boy I hope that's right. CP said something about how Classics should be around through the OTFCC for a while, and I'm extra good with that. I don't think that line has been used too much yet, and the other Botcon figures from 07 like Wierdwolf and Huffer show that figures from other lines can be Classics line fillers.
