It's interesting to note that they used different transition animation, it looks like a lower quality version. I like the opening credits but the ending credits are crazy such as Spike spinning Daniel like a helicopter
And yes, the English dub is terrible. I just turned on the Japanese dialogue & English subtitles.

Both Car Robots and Micron Densetsu have been released on DVD in Japan.
