Can Classics Mirage face be hidden in Car mode?

Postby Chris Bot » Tue Feb 06, 2007 10:10 pm

I know this is nitpicky, but along with his waist being really skinny, I hate how, at least in the packaging, you can see his face in the cockpit.

I'm all ooh, Mirage, and then "PEE KA BOO!" Gah! :(

If I can be assured that you can flip his head around to at least not see his face in the front of his car, I just might get him after all.

Dude, just get him. He's easily one of the best Classics out there, and that makes him one of the best Transformers in recent years. Don't nitpick, just buy!

CL Mirage is by far one of the best Classic figures. He is just so damn poseable and so sleak looking. I am very happy with him.

BTW welcome to Seibertron Chris Bot.

Yes, the head thing is really nitpicky.

However, the dumb "weapon", skinny waste and lack of shoulder canon thingy are imo what could have taken a cool figure to awesome.

IMO, nice figure, but because of the above reasons, not "one of the best."

I personally like his slim waist, it makes him unique and makes him feel like an actual spy.

Then again I always liked Mirage so I may be impartial.

The thing I love most about Mirage is that he is the most action figure like trasformer ever.

I really like Mirage. I was surprised by him actually, for some reason I wasn't expecting much out of the figure but was messing around with him last night. Very posable, but I don't care for his tiny little gun. A small complaint.

I could not agree more.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I like the new Mirage much more over the old one. The thinness gives him posability AND makes him seem more spy-like.

As for the gun issue and the head peaking out they never bothered me enough to hate the figure.

Honestly I think it upped the ante in my mind for the other Classics figures and so far have delivered, only one I've been mildly disapointed with has been Grimlock, but I still like the figure.

Uh, yeah, that's exactly what I askeded aboot. If I can, then I'll prolly get him. I was just wondering if its even possible or like would it not fit into car mode with his head turned around or does his head even turn all the way around?

I'm getting the sense that he's a alot of people's fav. of the line, despite my worries, so that's encouraging. It not like he's hard to find in my area. I see him all the time, I just always pass him up 'cuz of the face thing.

And thanx for the welcome Air Commander Starscream.

Okay, I just did it. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but when you try to turn the head around, the front of the car doesn't sit quite right. If you're not opposed to carving up your figure, you could remove a bit of material from the back of the head and make it work.

Is the figure capable of holding the weapons from other figures, such as the firearm from Classics Prime/Magnus, or Astrotrain's rifle?

The weapon provided is unimpressive, but it'd be fine with either of those.

No, no he can't. He might be able to hold Hot Rod's weapon though.

Bah. Once again, if you want to nitpick about one little aspect of the figure and decide that the whole figure sucks because of that, be my guest. Ramjet is another fantastic Transformer. Does his face show in alt mode? Yes, but that doesn't stop him from being a great Transformer.

I'll try it when I get home. I thought Hot Rod (okay, fine, Hasbro, don't shoot me, "Rodimus") had the same size peg as the rest.

Yup, Hotrod's gun fits Mirage. Which is good. Hot Rod shouldn't have a gun [/movie opinion]

Yeah well I gave in and got him. He's cool.

Nah I don't like to carve up my figures so I'll just put up with him peekabooing me in car mode all the time.

Yeah, Ramjet's the worst, but I was never into any of the other jets besides Starscream anyway. I just gotta get Skywarp and switch his better head to Screamer. And then I can hand me down Faux Magnus to my little brother.

Will they make a true Classics Magnus? One can hope.
