Because, in my opinion mind you, reissues are "fakes". They are not the real thing. They are not generation one Transformers. Reissues belong in the same catagory as bootlegs, illegal reproductions, etc.rofflesaurus wrote:And why's that?

In fact, they are better because I get to open them, apply stickers, and relive a bit of that feeling of opening a classic Transformer without the nagging thought that I just devalued a MISB vintage figure. I also prefer a new figure than someone's used toy.
Since all my collection are loose bots, I'd end up opening them anyway. Better to have a reissue than waste more money on something that would lose 2/3 of its value once I cracked open the box.
To each his own, but to say that reissues are cheap kos makes you look like an ass.
