Ive played City of heroes/villains since beta off and on. Its a cool game. I d say two best things about the game is the side kick/mentor system, so you can always play with your friends. Pacting together means if you re off line you wont outlvl your buddy since you re tied together as one of my friends is terrible about out lvling me heh.
The other is getting places, traveling is very fast. Between teleporters you can unlock, and travel powers, you wont spend an hour of real life time going places like many fantasy rpgs. I love the moblity in the game, and felt so slow and sluggish when i went back and played Dark age of camelot, a WoW /EQ style fantasy game. I couldnt stand it heh.
In general the game is very casual friendly, as you dont have sink 1000 of hours into the game get anywhere. You can get fancy loot, but you can operate just fine with the standard issue gear as most my chaarcter have that.
Which on a transformer related note I saw someone make a gun wielding villain called Optimus Crime heh.I think I most screen shot him, he looked pretty good. Also the black market Villains side looks like G1 prime truck mode, they red colored the truck totally blue be less blatant later. You have avoid trade marked stuff or be smart aboout it and not make it too exact or they ll mod your character.(why I recently made an alternate outfit of a technology sword wielder look like movie prime heh. I just dont walk around with it all the time.)
I been playing Red Alert alot lately, and taking break from City of heroes. Which thats where I learned about this forum from another guy who goes here and plays it. The comic forum, is the ultimate geek database heh. You can learn about anything there as the game has a great community to it.I can only hope the newer comic MMO have as good of one.
