Was there an increase in quality with the second shipment, or did someone manually touch up his face? The paint job in the first pic is terrible. I don't want the figure if it comes that way.

Maybe the first head was easier to make and cheaper even though it looks like crap

if memory serves correctly, the second head is actually off of skywarp.

ryan did this because the sw head looks 10x better compared to the ss.

The 2nd head was from Classics Skywarp.

yup, second run of ss classics was witht eh skywarp mold. he's actually a tad bigger too.

Wing Zero Custom and Gutter Bunny are both correct. So is decepticonjon partly. The head on Starscream on the second run was the same color as the first run.

Hrm. In other words, even the second run of Starscream figures will have the same bland paint job as the first (plastic-looking face rather than metallic), despite using the SW mold?

Yep, that is correct. I bought an extra Skywarp/Magnus set so that I could swap the heads on the extra Skywarp with one of my extra Starscreams. It looks so much better. Man, that pic of the 2nd Starscream head looks really dark. Ugh. Lighting Ryan, lighting!!!!!

Ugh, that's a crying shame. Of course I can't even get Skywarp/Magnus here in Canada because we don't have any Target stores. Nuts to paying $40 on eBay. I guess I just have to hope we get MP Starscreams here. :cry:
