Cybertron Deluxe Recommendations?

Are there any Cybertron Deluxe or Scout Class Transformers that anyone thinks are must-haves? I've pretty much decided which of the larger figures I want, but there are so many of the smaller class figures that I don't have a clue which are any good.

I've got Downshift, Excellion and Demolishor.

Thanks.

There are so many threads about this out there, we really need to get that search function working.

Anyway, you got the 2 best deluxes IMHO. Downshift, and Excellion.

I would add for deluxes: CD Hotshot, Red Alert/Cannonball, Jungle Planet Optimus Prime, and the Armada Repaint of Bendy Prime, and Sideways

And for Basics: Hardtop, Armourhide, Scattorshot, and Scrapmetal

In all honesty, MOST of the cyb deluxes, and the vast majority of scouts are well worth buying.

Avoid the Thundercracker mold, Dirt Boss, Override, and maybe Brimstone (I'm not opposed to it myself), and you should be just fine.

The worst Scouts are Backstop and Overhaul/Brushguard, and even then, some people like them.

Where do you plan on getting them. I'd like a few Cybertron deluxes myself. I only have GF Vector Prime.

I want Thunderblast, Excellion, Override GTS.

I have about 27 cybertron figures, and Excellion is one of my favorites!

Sorry, Overcracker. I know it must get annoying seeing the same threads over and over again. I appreciate your indulging me, anyway!

Raymond, I'm hoping to spy some of them in stores during this dead period of movie figures. That's how I got the eight figures I have now. I'll probably get a few online, if I can find them at close to MSRP.

Thanks for the responses, everyone.

Its o.k. its not really you, I know its hard to find something when the search function doesn't work. Which is why i did try to help. Its easier than actually looking through the pages to find the thread this applies to.

Downshift is the best of the best
CD Hot Shot is a must - so much firepower
Sideways looks awesome but beware of sagging arm issues
Red Alert is fun though very short for a deluxe bot
Override GTS has a much better colour scheme than the original and has a movie toy-like automorph feature
Crosswise has gorgeous vehicle mode but very frustrating transformation
Stay away from Thundercracker and Skywarp.
Only get Thunderblast if you're OK with shellformers

With scouts, just be aware that they generally lack the articlation of larger figures. Swerve is my favourite.

Hot Shot and his repaint Excellion rock. Override is pretty good, and you can never deny the repaint of Armada Blurr, which plays homage to his G1 Character.

I'll agree with Overcracker and Redimus, and throw ina few more:
Deluxes:Snarl, Beast Megatron, Landmine, Unicron, Dirt Boss
Scouts: Swerve, Brakedown, Repugnus, Ransack, (and I love Backstop, but many do not.)

Just steer clear of Crosswise, Override, Brimstone, Runamuck, Lugnutz.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

Are there cybertron toys available in any in Australian shops?

American Wal-Marts seem to have a massive sale of em going on...

The American stores seem to be restocking Cybertron and Classics to plug the gaping hole where the Movie figures were supposed to be.

We may have something similar here, but it would only be the final 2-3 waves of figures, which were for the most part repaints. It happened when the Cybertron line went quiet for a bit, Big W's put out the Energon combiner limbs.
If it does happen here, it wont be anything like the USA, less market here = less figures.

Make sure you look around in different parts of toy sections. Some stores have their old cybertron and classics stuff away from the movie toys.

I'd just like to add Smokescreen to the list of recommendations. At first, I only got him because he was Smokescreen, and he was cheap MOC on ebay. But, he's grown on me a lot. He has a cool transformation, and it rather an interesting Deluxe figure. Excellion is numero uno, but he ain't bad either. I also recommend Cannonball/Red Alert, Unicron, and Demolisher for the Deluxe Class. Armorhide is one cool Scout figure. Hardtop is too. Cybertron's run was too short, just like the Classics line.

These are ones I like some people don't but think they are pretty cool:

1. override
2. Thunderblast
3. sideways
4. crosswise/smokescreen
