Well it's pretty obvious you are angry with the opinions expressed by others over their dislike of the movie. You're more then welcome to voice your own opinions, but don't call others childish and tell them to grow up when you end your last two posts all in caps. If anything they were trying to have a little fun to liven up a someone depressing thread. If your mad that's fine post away, but maybe just generalize it as not to start a flame war. I think everyone is getting a little over heated with those lately.

I don't really understand why you comparing this with a masterpeice figure, it's not one, plain and simple. It's something else entirely with completely new gimmicks. If you don't like what the ULTIMATE is..then don't buy it..when/if they make a masterpiece figure of him, then your argument would be completely valid.

It's not that you aren't entitled to dislike the figure, I can appreciate that, but the comparison is way off.

For the love of God.

Like the movie or not, at least be able to assemble a proper paragraph to convey your points.

Are the old school fans intolerant of change? Yes, Beast Wars, Beast Machines, and even Armada have all been hotly contested over the years.

Are you incapable of seeing the other side of things? Yes. If you can't understand why a fandom would be upset about the fundamental change of an iconic character, then you really need to reevaluate your ability to argue and evaluate. If someone were to repaint the Statue of Liberty in Construction color Orange, could you understand why people wouldn't like it?

There's going to be a lot of new fans and young kids coming online to find out about Transformers in the next few months. Try not to be the ass they all eventually attempt to emulate.

Also I'm not comparing BB to a Masterpiece i just don't like any of the movie stuff except the real gear.
Sure I'll go and see the movie but I'm a firm believer that if i keep my expectations low about the movie then I doubt it can get any worse than i expect.

Oh and CP that Picture of Colin Powell Rocks

You know I have to just sit here and laugh at the ridiculusness of people in this fandom.

First everyone hates the new designs.

Now some people like them, but the toys don't look enough like the movie version.

Next it will be the voices or the story or god only knows what else.

I can get on board with a few complaints. When they are well thought out. The the vast majority of this is just fanboy nitpicking. Seriously my signature couldn't possibly capture the fandom any better. It isn't even humorous it is literally exactly how many of you act.

All I got to say is that all the bots of old have already came. Several times! The many reissue's, classics, and lets not forget the masterpiece line.

So please, save the pessimist, senseless rants til after you see the movie. Thanks, goodnight!

Re: Disappointment in the Bumblebee Masterpiece Movie toy

What were they thinking??

We haven't seen it from many different angles and Hasbro is well known for not fully Transfomring their figures. For what reasons, I can't really say. But until we see a more analitical breakdown of this figures transformation I don't think anyone can make the assumption that it doesn't have a more movie based chest like appearence.

2: the whole canon arm with the red boba fett missle sticking out his arm is a complete turn off.. if I wanted a one armed bumble bee I will buy the smaller version from the rgular line, but not in a masterpiece.

Again, no one has seen or heard that his cannon is permanently affixed to his arm. I'm sure we'll see something in a few weeks, but if I were to fancy a guess it's either a well hidden hand or a removeable arm piece. As for the missle, just don't put it in. That's what I did with Classics H-rod and it makes it look a world of better.

3: this is another problem i have seen, i can't tell if the battle helmet comes down or not..and I haven't seen a bumblebee with a battle helmet that slides down yet, you'd think they would place that in the masterpiece toy!!!I personally like Bumblebee with the battle mask on, versus off, he looks very ugly with it off, probably similar to prefering prime with a metal mask versus an actual moving mouth...dumb idea..

I totally agree with you, I don't much care for Bumblebees "face" as were, and I would fully expect them to include a faceplate for him. I don't see anywhere on the head for the battle mask so flip over, but I could be wrong. If there is one thing that it needs indefinitely is a battle mask. the boney face thing is kinda scary.

Overall, this action figure severly lacks anything remotely resembling in my view the title name of "Masterpiece" and should be left on the shelf or revised before final production..other wise, HASBRO KEEP it!! It's nice in other respects, the tires, the legs, but not very close to what I was to expect..it's just a large one armed version of your normal line Bumblebee figure, with electronics added.. its not nearly as intricate or as kibbly like the movie counterpart, and in effect not a Masterpiece at all..

In no way, shape or form, is this a Masterpiece figure. There are miles between the Hasbro Ulitimate line and the Takara Masterpiece line. While of course, they are all toys the MP line over in Japan isn't ment as a toy as it is a display piece for collectors. Statues and Bust sell just as well, if not better then actual toys over there, and the MP line is a perfect blend of display figure and play figures. Ultimate Bumblebee is the 80 equivalent (and I use the term very loosely) of Fort Max. A huge over priced chunk of plastic expected to sell very well but ends up falling short of that goal. Except this time they made is electronic, and not nearly as cool.

Now thats what I call an Intelligent Rebuttle, thanks.. On the other note of The Masterpiece Versus Ultimate, i again apologize, i was simply trying to voice that an Ultimate fig should be a little more closely detailed to the Movie bot form in order for me to want to buy it, especially with the Title of Ultimate, which makes you think of masterpiece...

Glarryg

From the photos it looks like he is completely made of plastic. I agree $90 is a lot of money for a toy. I'm sure that Hasbro is hoping this toy will appeal to collectors and children with rich parents.

Personally, I am not interested in Ultimate Bumble Bee because the gimmicks seem to outweigh the transformation. I'll stick with the Takara Master Piece line.

My point in the first place...ahhh Like minds.. I am really not against this figure, my whole premise is that there are issues that they need to resolve first..I always liked the idea of getting an electronic bumblebee with realistic sound effects, and that would totally be like the movie bot stepped out of the screen and on to my table top, but alas the final or display version i saw online and pics from the toy fair, show me otherwise..I thought I was going to get a bumblebee that was super articulated, Very extremely Kibbly, with movable faceplate, and posable finger, that lit up on his eyes, head lights, and spoke movie phrases, ect...instead I get the Equal representation of the "Star Wars Episode One" Movable statues, like the 3 Qui Gon jin, Obi Wan, And Darth maul, that when set togather make a fight scene.. It just seems like this toy was way too off Base for 80.00 and in my view is just like the man stated above...More in Favor of Electronics then Robot Accuracy...

Final Verdict... I'll stick with the masterpiece Line..also..I UNDERSTAND THIS IS AN ULTIMATE FIGURE..and not "Masterpiece"...
