Only in the comics of DW and IDWSaber Prime wrote:I mean War Within Megatron IS a Tank and he IS supose to be G1 Megatron BEFORE they came to Earth. That makes his alt mode on Earth a HUGE downgrade.
That depends on many things, Megatron is deadly no matter what alt mode he has.Saber Prime wrote:He could have gone from a Cybertronian tank to an Earth tank which would have been a better fit. But no he got turned into a hand gun.
That's what makes him cool, he's killed more Autobots as a gun than a tank.Saber Prime wrote:Now if Shockwave had went to Earth with them and scaned the gun he'd be fine. He was allready a gun on Cybertron but at least he could fire on his own and not have someone else hold him.
Why do you say that? Because of the cartoon? You can't use the comics to back up something then use the cartoon to back up another point. In the War Within Shockwave was a tank too. Seems that the powerful Decepticons think a gun is a better upgrade...Saber Prime wrote:Allthough that might suck for Soundwave. Mabe they should change his name to Lightwave sence he transforms into a light post. Allso while we're on the subject of Cybertronian modes. Why was Laserbeak still a casset tape on Cybertron? He looked like a flying saucer with a head in bird mode but then he turned into a casset tape. That really made no sence.
Again, using the cartoon or the comic??? Which is it? You can only have one point of reference for alt modes because every continuity did them differently.
I imagine in the cartoon, Soundwave could change into many different forms as his disguise. Laserbeak was a recording tape of somekind, his robot mode was some kind of Cybertronian bird thing.
Soundwave only went from being a lamp post on Cybertron to a tape deck on Earth.
And... "A recording tape of somekind"? It's called a casset tape. That's the only kind of "recording tape" there is. And the odd thing is on Cybertron, he still was a casset tape.
Well you can't have it both ways you can have Cartoon or comics, the two don't mix. As for cassette tapes, there are other kinds of recording tapes besides cassette tapes but you are probably not old enough to remember them. I am also willing to wager Laserbeak wasn't a cassette, he was probably some sort of digital recording tape. I mean come on, think for a minute.
