I like the premise of that series, but I just can't get past the animation. That and they turn Cybertron organic. How the hell do you do that and why!?
Two questions that shall forever go unanswered.
And I love Prime. I love the story, I love the characters, I ESPECIALLY love the 'Cons. You can't tell me that Knock Out isn't hilarious or Soundwave isn't a BAMF. As much as I love them, however, I REALLY REALLY REALLY wish that they would flesh them out a bit more. Dreadwing is kind of getting that treatment but only because the writers seem to have plans for him later on. What we have here with the 'Cons is a classic case of dynamic flat characters. The character concepts and characteristics are gold, but even the most interesting of characters are capable of stagnation. I want to see ROUND characters. I want to see more definite interactions between the 'Cons besides backstabbing each other. KO and BD were awesome, even if they weren't shown actually interacting with each other as much as just being on screen together. The Decepticons make up a
majority of remaining Cybertronians, so like LordScourge said: there's bound to be different characters having different dynamics with each other.
Another thing, Breakdown talking with the drones like equals (or a soundboard) or Starscream pouring his spark out to Soundwave (with questionable degrees of sincerity, but still). We never really saw Breakdown's little crush go anywhere except going up in flames. I love the 'Bots and I love Prime and I love the story and the writing and the writers. But adding this level of depth, this
delicious new view on the antagonists, would instantly make Prime my #1 fave. I crave characterization like nicotine, and we can't deny that the 'Cons are a seriously interesting bunch.
