Fury wrote:I really like what they've done with this line. They brought me back into collecting. The movie made me buy some figures for sure. But the fact that I was pretty impressed by the toys I got, really made go back into to hell known as collecting. Blackout, Ironhide and Leader Prime were my first ones. Blackout's alt mode is awesome, Ironhide overall is one my favorite transformers, and Leader Prime is almost perfect(my opinion...)
So my first impression of this line was pretty good. And after that, it was good surprises after good surprises. Everything I bought so far is great.

And with your concerns about Leader Megatron: he is blocky? So what?Seriously, I like his extra bulk, can't have him being smaller than Leader Prime. Also, I agree his jet mode sucks, but it's silly to keep him in that mode while displaying him, it's clear that the designer focused pretty much 100% on his robot mode. You can tell that I like his figure - but trust me, I understand where all the complaints are coming from, I was once a hardcore Leader Megs hater. But after some customization, he is becoming more favourite than my Leader Prime.

Counterpunch wrote:First off, I admit to hating the new designs when I first saw them.
I did however, reserve the right to change my mind and I did have the foresight to know that I would likely end up really enjoying at least a few of the new toys.
Well, I have all of the new line except for Payload and Dropkick. For the most part, these are some good Transformer toys.
What's bad?
1. The poopy poopy plastic. Bleh, turns my stomach compared with Cybertron and Classics. I have had several figures have stress marks fresh out of the package. This is unacceptable.
2. Bad paint apps. Overall? yea, this line has some shoddy work going on. From missed lines, fuzzy borders, and paint flicks the QC is lacking.
3. Scale. Yes, it's a problem in other lines too. But what? They had to get like 10 figures in scale with each other? C'mon, Bonecrusher is pathetic. He's an embarrassment. Blackout could have easily been the Christmas time Supreme figure that everyone really does want.
The good.![]()
1. New Transformations! Everyone has a unique and interesting (if not frustrating) transformation. Too bad no child will ever properly transform some of them...but they are fun to us, right?
2. Leader Prime, Leader Brawl, 08' Bumblebee, Ironhide, Longarm. F to the MFn' A. These are some damn good Transformers. They should be celebrated for their designs, transformations, and inginutiy. These are the new classis and they set a standard for future toys to live up to. Good going Hasbro. High Five! ::SLAP::
3. Availability. Boo hoo, you can't find anything. Whoopy doo. It's good. The hunt is good. The fact that you can't find things and are excited about it is good. It's like hazing for the noobs. I enjoy watching you all worry and flip out over this stuff, inspite of the advice everyone offers. Collecting is exciting and difficult again. Welcome to the game suckers.
