He means if it looks like Wheeljack, and the only name given was the name of his Alt-Mode (Lacia Stratos is a bit specific for a guy who's name never gets mentioned), then it's safe to assume it's Wheeljack.

Well if that what he/she means then I say....its not up to us to say.

Like I pointed out they could have used at least some of the right names if they chose to and they could have used the right voice actors if they chose too as well.

And theres enough reason to assume that the writters never intended for "Masterforce" or "Victory" to be part of the same continuity as their "G1" or "Headmasters" cartoons.

Like I said ZI'm not trying to change anybodys minds or opinions I'm just bringing it up so we can discuss it.

I meant, why would they not make it Wheeljack? Why make someone look just like him just to say it isn't him?

Thats a question I really cant answer.

For that matter why create a character that looks so much like a upgraded "Optimus Prime" and then call him "God Ginrai"????

And thats where my question to wether its really Wheeljack stems from.

The fact that they did it with Ginra/Prime leaves the door open for the same to have been done with Wheeljack and the other 2 re-named characters to show up in "Victory".

And to me the fact that neather "Masterforce" or "Victory" really seems to have been written with the intent that they be part of the original Japan TF continuity....leeds me to doubt that the character we saw in "Victory" was G1 Wheeljack.

Because he's never been Optimus Prime in Japan. They've gone through a lot of names for him, "Convoy" and variations of it have been the most common.

You know what I ment.............

But here I'll say it again correctly:::

For that matter why create a character that looks so much like a upgraded "Convoy" and then call him "God Ginrai"????

Ether name you chose.......why did they use Primes/Convoy's likeness on a completely different character????

Better question: Does it matter? It looked like Wheeljack, but it was never named, so it was probably Wheeljack.

I think Masterforce Ginrai is the shell of Optimus, sealed in the earth by the force that called down the Powermasters. In the cartoon, each Powermaster looked like a deactivated Transformer that was controlled by a human like a mecha. So, maybe (in that version of Transformers) Optimus was drawn to Earth after his (third) death and became a Powermaster robot. Of course, that still means that he is a different character, as his personality is that of his human, Ginrai.

As for Wheeljack, there were many animation errors in G1 (including Brawn being in Five Faces of Darkness, post-movie). However, this character was in several episodes of Victory. It's uncertain whether he's the original Wheeljack with a new name, a new character who looks like Wheeljack, or a character in a different alternate reality where the Battle of Autobot City played out differently. Can we really say for certain? Is it better to let people believe what they want when it doesn't change anything?

I think in one of the comics or something, Skids went off to do something, and if he succeeded, Wheeljack and the others wouldn't have been killed, so maybe he DID succeed. Or...possibly, before the battle, Wheeljack built a machine that would put him back together if he died, so he just got rebuilt. And then went off to join Victory.
