Yes, I know... it's a news item from this website. But still, that's a package made by Hasbro. Why would Hasbro give us a FAB Megatron, in a new tank mode, if he wasn't gonna show up? I can understand Bay's use of the misinformation stuff, trying to keep the movie secret and all, but I think he needs to research better, otherwise he might just look like an @$$...

the picture and artwork for the new megatron (as stated in the empire article) is that its an art sheet from hasbro, and that megatron himself will not actively appear in the second film, as the fallen will be the main enemy in the film (i had the leisure of reading the entrie article at the newsagents before buying it hehe) Hasbro want to give megatron a new incarnation to tie in with the second film, but not go down the route of "Megatron is now Galvatron", so I think its to give a different flavour other than the Cybertronian Jet that we were given in the first one, however only time wil tell if that is the case

On the subject of Megatron, if Hasbro wanted a new Megatron toy for the new line they'd most likely just repaint one of the old ones, rather than go to the expense of a new mould.

The only FABs we got last time around were of the main characters who featured in the movie, and repaints thereof. If Hasbro really wanted to put out an FAB Megatron toy they could just as easily have put out a repaint.

The fact that they've gone to the expense of making a new mould, and spent money on highly detailed concept artwork would seem to indicate that Bay might be telling porkies here.

hm its kind of strange sying that devastator is going to be about 50 feet tall, considering at a point in the article one of the crew members (or is it bay) mentions that the wheels on the constructicons are about the size of a full grown tree that they had on set... rather odd that one

Megatron will come back!! I feel it!! First, he did resurrect in the comics Defiance, then, with 40 robots I m sure they could at least have a spot for him either in flashbacks or with a tank mode, then Bay is simply full of **** and nobody trust a damn word he says, Orci said they would have more Starscream, Megatron moments reminiscing the G1, then with Soundwave in and Starscream it a shame not to have Megatron in cuz those 3 together ARE CLASSICS!!!! I may be wrong but I m sure Meg will come back.. I hope though
