Long time lurker, first time poster here. I unsuccessfully attempted to post this yesterday. In any event, after many, many hours, I completed a fan edit of Transformers: the movie (1986) where Prime survives and saves the day -- "Transformers: The Prime Cut." Believe it or not, the movie isn't all that different.

I'm no Orson Welles, but using re-purposed footage and audio clips, it's a semi-convincing edit. I probably did this as therapy to get over my 35-year trauma from Prime's death. I posted it on the internet archive because, I figured, since Transformers (1986) was already posted and streaming on that site, it's hopefully legal. Also, here's a link to it on google drive.

I tried posting multiple times about the completely new, different, and very much improved fanedit that I made of TF:TM. I dare say (and not to toot my own horn but I put WAY too much work into this), I think it's epic. For reasons I can't understand, although my separate post about this new edit was approved, it never shows up.

Anyway, this time around, my goal was to totally respect TF:TM and leave as much of the movie intact as possible, while adding Optimus Prime in a major starring role. He's not just along for the ride. Prime and Ultra Magnus have an their own adventure, ultimately saving Earth, Cybertron, and everyone else from the god of chaos, Unicron, and the plague he has unleashed.

I really hope people enjoy this entirely new and epic cut of Transformers: The Movie (1986) - Ultimate Prime Edition.
