It's not the worst price, I've just had too many purchases lately and to see the price higher than a similar figure doesn't sit right with me. Some people report that the exclusive Cubrar had a lower production run than Columpio, so that might have something to do with it. I really hope that isn't true. Maybe I can just hold out until my funding is better and find it elsewheres (like Columpio).

I'd take the risk of waiting, especially given the way the Diaclone Columpio prices plummeted after a month or two.

Columpio had a metallic finish that looked shiny in certain lights and light angles. This looks something similar. Not really chrome, but still good looking, IMO...

Glad I skipped the chrome versions. I'm ready for this.

He looks awesome, really looking forward to getting my hands on that. I like the fact that they went for the G1 toy look over G1 cartoon one by making the horns red and the head black. The red horns really stand out against the gold dino head, and I think with the red body a red head would've been a bit too much.

I was thinking about getting in on Toyworld, because their Snarl is awesome. But their Sludge is somehow even more underwhelming than what I thought of Columpio... and now Cubrar is just hitting all the right buttons.

I might've mentioned it a few pages back. Columpio just strikes me as too 'Neo', whereas Toyworld seemed more 'Classics'. Cubrar's chunkiness kind of overcomes that sleek aesthetic; he still seems like a bruiser. I never got that sense from Columpio, but I must admit that the more I see Columpio, the more I adjust to the idea of liking him.

@shajaki: Good catch! Slag was originally a gold-noser! Oh well, the red doesn't bother me too much.

*sigh* Nvm, just looked up Kumas review of retail Cubrar... how odd to include the red head variant with the exclusive and not the retail... wonder if that'll change during its official release or not.
