Fast Action Battlers

Postby Bumbled » Mon Jul 02, 2007 5:18 am

Is it just me or do these toys look cheap... as in quality.

Does anyone have Fast Action Battlers... and could someone recommend me to a wise decision. So far all I have collected is

Voyager, Deluxe and Unleashed. And I am sick and tired of seeing so much Fast Action Battlers, so are they any good?

they are toys that kids can do. i have ironhide because i couldn't find regular ironhide. he's okay. nothing great and nothing compared to the regular deluxes. he comes apart easily. he's more like an oversized basic toy.

I've got all the first wave FABs. I love 'em. The quality is good, very sturdy. They don't feel cheap in my hands at all. And I like a couple better then their regular versions, Prime and Brawl especially. I highly recommend them.

I have prime and had Ironhide. The latter i gave to a friends little boy.

They are pretty good for what they are, kiddie friendly versions of the larger, more expensive figures.

The one thing that bugs me about Prime is that the whole rear end of his alt. mode is stuck to his back in robot mode like a huge campers backpack. Not only does it look a little odd but makes him a bit akward to pose without falling backwards.

Of the ones i've seen i'm rather fond of Ironhide. Looks very similar to his voyager counterpart in both robot and alt. modes.

Just my opinion of course ;)

I have Brawl. It's okay, but not great. The colour is a real bad sickly lime green colour. It's not entirely to scale (as in the mineploughs are to small). The missiles get lost easily (as proven by my big sister who after I'd had it for 20 mins lost one under a cupboard). The main turret doesn't turn and the secondary one comes off too easily. There isn't really much detail and the gaps inbetween parts are too obvious.

However because I can't find the deluxe (or any other version) in the UK it will have to do. And i find it fun shooting missiles at the "Classics" Prime.

For the price these toys are great value. Even my dad like playing with it and they are a great stop gap until the real versions come out all over the UK. The Jazz one looks good, I might get it for a laugh.

Weapon: Particle Beam Cannon
In my opinion, the best use for FAB's is easier kitbashing. :D

I think FABs have stronger plastics because they are intended that kids will be rough with them. I like Prime the best, followed by Brawl, then Starscream.

Yer that is exactly what I thought they would have stronger plastic, it looks that way anyway but then detail is really bad... I guess kids don't really care about that though.

I have the Brawl and Screamer and I love them. Wait for wave 2 because it has Bumblebee.

I thought wave 2 was already out because I saw 08 Bumblebee Fast Action Battlers in K-Mart the other day... but I didn't get it because it looked low detailed.

None of the FABs have insignias do they? My Ironhide didn't so I added some myself from reprolabels.

He looks a lot better.

Indeed the plastic is stronger! (more compact, less detailed and less possible)
i got prime as a gift for my birthday..(spring loaded feet and waistline im not a big fan of... but hey! over all you get what you paid for.. or in my case what you receive as a prezzy... and it counts towards the collection! :)
